As coaches, this is where you separate flash from substance. Anyone can make a highlight play, but what shows up consistently snap after snap is what really matters. Footwork, leverage, ball skills, eye discipline, effort—those are the traits we're focusing on in this breakdown.

The players featured this week put together strong performances and showed qualities that translate. Whether it's consistency, toughness, or the ability to execute under pressure, each of these athletes gave us something worth studying and evaluating moving forward.

Let's get into the film. We have a nice slate of athletes for you to check out!

[player_tooltip player_id='1830481' first='Maverick' last='Carlile'] - 2027 OL/DL - Collinsville

Collinsville 2027 offensive and defensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1830481' first='Maverick' last='Carlile'] is an active and physical presence on both sides of the ball. On offense, he does a good job keeping his feet moving through contact and plays with the physicality you want to see in the trenches. He stays engaged on blocks and works to finish plays. Defensively, Maverick plays with solid technique, uses his hands effectively, and attacks blockers with confidence. He does a nice job working down the line of scrimmage to pursue plays and consistently helps anchor the line of scrimmage. His toughness, effort, and ability to contribute on both sides of the ball make him a valuable asset for the Cardinals.

[player_tooltip player_id='1828256' first='Cash' last='Stein'] - 2028 RB/OLB - Berryhill

Berryhill 2028 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1828256' first='Cash' last='Stein'] is impressive to watch in person. I've had the opportunity to watch Cash over the last few years in camp settings, and seeing him in person at the Collinsville Team Camp only reinforced what I already thought about his game. At running back, Cash runs with a physical mindset. He has good vision, attacks running lanes decisively, and isn't afraid to lower his shoulder on contact. He can run through defenders, pick up the tough yards, and consistently move the chains when his team needs it most. Defensively, he plays with sound technique and makes it extremely difficult for offenses to get to the edge on his side of the field. He's aggressive, plays downhill, and has a knack for living in the opponent's backfield. Cash consistently puts himself in position to make plays and affects the game on every snap. If you haven't already, buy stock now, the future is bright for this young athlete.

Josh Diaz - 2029 OL - Stillwater

Stillwater 2029 offensive lineman Josh Diaz is a big-framed center shows a good understanding of the position. He identifies his target quickly, gets off the ball with purpose, and moves well in space. He does a nice job getting to the second level, locking onto defenders, and staying engaged through the block. In pass protection, he delivers a solid punch and shows the ability to anchor and control defenders. His size and frame give him plenty of upside, and he has the tools to be an effective interior offensive lineman. Overall, I'd like to see him continue to improve his pad level and play with more consistent leverage, which will help him maximize his strength and power. The tools are there, and continued development in that area will elevate his game even further but love he is still in the 2029 class.

Xavier Alanis - 2028 OL - Stillwater

Here is another lineman for Stillwater in the class of 2028, Xavier Alanis. I loved the first clip on his highlight film, it immediately shows the type of player he is. He comes off the ball ready to strike, plays with a physical mindset, and looks to finish blocks every chance he gets. He does a great job running his feet through contact and maintaining his effort until the whistle. In pass protection, he shows good awareness by identifying his target and picking up blitzing linebackers effectively. He understands his assignments, stays engaged, and demonstrates the ability to protect the pocket. His physicality, effort, and football IQ are all traits that stand out on film that I enjoyed watching. We are excited to see what Xavier can do this year with his team and another anchor up front for the Pioneers.

[player_tooltip player_id='734696' first='Hunter' last='Reavis'] - 2027 OL - Coweta

What is there not to like about [player_tooltip player_id='734696' first='Hunter' last='Reavis'] who is in the class of 2027 out of Coweta? He picked up his first offer from Arkansas Tech on May 21st, and after watching him in person at the Exposure Series in Broken Arrow, it's easy to see why college programs are taking notice. Hunter is a physical offensive lineman who loves to compete in the trenches. One of the things that stood out most was how he locks up defenders and stays engaged through the whistle. He moves well for his size, comes off the ball with a quick first step, and consistently plays with an aggressive mentality. Hunter embraces contact and brings a physical presence to every snap. He's the type of lineman who simply gets after it up front, and his combination of movement skills, toughness, and physicality makes him a prospect worth keeping a close eye on as his recruitment continues to grow.
