Faulkner University (NAIA) in Montgomery, AL, hosted its second prospect camp on Saturday morning at Billy D. Hillyer Stadium. It was a talented group of prospects competing to learn and potentially earn an offer from the homestanding Eagles. The quarterback group was well-rounded with talent, with each deserving of recognition!

In my view, 2028 Appalachian QB [player_tooltip player_id='2081578' first='Colton' last='Caldwell'] was firmly in the conversation for one of the top quarterback performers at the camp. While I was not able to see every rep from every passer, Caldwell consistently stood out when he was throwing. The ball came off his hand with impressive velocity, and he showed the ability to drive throws to all levels of the field. His arm is lively and immediately catches your attention, with the football jumping out of his hand as well as any quarterback in attendance. Caldwell still has two years of high school football ahead of him, but if you're betting on physical traits, it's hard not to leave camp thinking he has a bright future as a college prospect.

The football came out differently when 2027 North Bay Haven (FL) QB [player_tooltip player_id='1788458' first='Caleb' last='Muszynski'] was throwing. Muszynski paired a quick release with an efficient snap-to-throw process, allowing him to get the ball out on time and accurately. Several quarterbacks had strong days, but I thought Muszynski possessed some of the better arm talent in attendance. The ball jumped off his hand with a tight spiral and arrived to receivers quickly, and the revolutions on the football were easy to spot with some of the best zip at the camp. Muszynski is also a plus athlete and looked mechanically sound throughout the workout as one of the top QBs in attendance.

2027 Davidson QB Micah Spivey kept showing up when I went back through my camp footage. Nearly every clip I had of him featured an accurate throw with good placement, which matched what I remembered seeing in person throughout the day. Spivey was one of the more consistent quarterbacks on the field, stacking quality reps without many misses during the portions of camp I watched. I also liked the quickness in his feet in drills and on his dropbacks. He stayed under control while moving through drills and showed the type of footwork that should translate well when navigating the pocket on Friday nights. Overall, it was a productive day for Spivey and a name to know in the class.

2027 New Brockton QB Wesley Creel was another passer who stood out even more when I went back through my camp footage. The common theme from rep to rep was accuracy. Creel consistently delivered well-placed throws and did a nice job staying on time throughout the workout. What I liked the most about his performance was how catchable his passes were for his man. He routinely put receivers in a position to keep moving through the catch rather than forcing adjustments to the ball. That led to several clean, efficient reps and helped him stack winning reps throughout the day.

2029 Lincoln QB Kason Korrekt is the type of prospect where the projection is easy to see once he steps onto the field. Standing at 6'6, Korrekt possesses a frame that immediately grabs your attention and gives coaches plenty to work with over the next several years. The mechanics are still developing, which is to be expected for a young quarterback of his size, but there were flashes throughout the day that hinted at what he could become as those details get cleaned up. Watching him throw, it was not difficult to envision his long-term upside, as Korrekt already has physical traits in place. As he continues refining his fundamentals, Korrekt has the kind of foundation that could develop into a high-ceiling quarterback prospect down the road.

Watching 2028 Ashville QB Jackson Frondorf throw, it did not take long to notice how comfortable he was placing the football. He consistently delivered catchable passes and did a nice job giving receivers opportunities to stay on the move after securing the ball. Frondorf was effective at keeping throws away from defenders, allowing his targets to work from advantageous positions at the catch point. Whether it was a short or intermediate throw or something pushed further down the field, the location of the football was consistently where it needed to be. That helped Frondorf put together one of the more efficient passing performances I saw throughout the day.

2027 Jay (FL) QB Jaylen Youngblood showed there is plenty of value in touch and timing as a passer on Saturday. Youngblood consistently threw a catchable football throughout the day, allowing receivers to work comfortably through the catch without having to make difficult adjustments. His ball placement was steady, and he did a nice job pairing accuracy with the right amount of touch on a variety of throws. Youngblood is also comfortable outside the pocket and is one of his strengths as a quarterback.
Coming from a Straughn offense that leans heavily on the Wing-T and his ability as a runner, 2028 QB Tate Watson does not get many opportunities to showcase his arm on Friday nights. That made his performance at Faulkner interesting, where Watson flashed more as a passer than many might expect. Watson showed polished footwork and an athletic foundation that translated well throughout the workout. His lower-body mechanics were consistently sound, and he paired them with efficient upper-body movement to deliver the football. Watson is still developing from a passing standpoint and would benefit from additional throwing experience, but the tools are there. After watching him work, I came away believing he can execute in a passing-focused offense at the next level as opposed to just an athlete playing the position.

2027 Anniston QB [player_tooltip player_id='2118042' first='Jamorris' last='Young'] quietly put together one of the more underrated quarterback performances I saw on Saturday. Young has a strong build and athletic profile, which showed up in the way he threw the football. His upper and lower body worked in sync throughout the workout, helping him generate good velocity. The ball got out quickly and arrived to his receivers with zip. Young may not have drawn as much attention as some of the other quarterbacks in attendance, but the physical tools were easy to spot. After watching him work, I came away thinking there is a lot to build on with his combination of athleticism, strength, and arm talent.

2027 Fayette Ware (TN) QB Justin Price is a difficult player to fully appreciate in a camp setting because so much of what makes him effective shows up when the game is live. One of the top athletes in attendance, Price brings a level of speed that immediately stands out and forces defenses to account for him as a runner. His mechanics as a passer are still developing, but he showed flashes of the traits that have made him successful in an RPO-heavy offense. Price throws well in the short and intermediate game, getting the ball out with pace to challenge defenders and keep an offense moving. While some quarterbacks are built for showcase environments, Price's strengths are tied more closely to what happens on Friday nights. Give him an offense that embraces his athleticism and ability to create with his legs, and there is plenty to work with as a quarterback prospect.
