Allison Sportstown 7v7 Tournament "Difference Makers"

I would like to formally thank Allison Sportstown for allowing me to scout their tournament. It was a very well put on event, and there were so many talented young football players in participation.   These 5 players really caught my eye at the tournament. They played great in every game I had the pleasure of watching.    The freshman gunslinger [player_tooltip player_id='1732333' first='Kolton' last='Jacobs'] had a very efficient outing for the Glendale Falcons.   [player_tooltip player_id='1732333' first='Kolton' last='Jacobs'] very first pass was a deflected interception off a fellow teammates hands. Which was a very unfortunate outcome as he read the play perfectly. After that first miscue I feel like he played absolutely lights out the rest of the tournament. Jacob's has the ability to fit the ball into very tight windows, which is perfect when playing 7v7 football.   Jacobs stood confidently and just took what the defense gave him. I left highly impressed with his performance and can't wait to see him in action this upcoming season.     Ruben played an aggressive brand of football for the Glendale Falcons.   Ruben Trujillo had himself a pretty good day at Allison Sportstown. Playing on the boundary corner spot he made it extremely difficult for opposing wide receivers to get any separation on their routes, especially when it was in the first 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. Trujillo wants to get his hands on you in a hurry and control your momentum. Trujillo also did very well with the ball in the air, he closed separation fast and got his eyes around to make a play on the ball.   It's going to be a big senior season for Trujillo.     Nguyen just makes plays for his Nixa Eagles.   [player_tooltip player_id='2153100' first='Bradyn' last='Nguyen'] is as dependable as they come. When Nixa Quarterback Adam Mcknight needed a sure handed receiver he usually looked in the direction on Nguyen. He can run any route in the tree and do it very sharp and consistently at that. He found himself in the endzone early and often, by finding the open areas in the zones and making the sure catch.   Nguyen looks to carve himself a nice role in the Nixa offense in his Junior year.     Wyatt Mabe made play after play in this 7v7 tournament.   Mabe played the role as the big play threat for the Nixa Eagles. Even when I had my eyes on another game being played, at the corner of my eye it seemed like I saw Wyatt Mabe standing in the endzone with the football. He has a great feel as to how to get open and he trusts his QB will deliver the football where it needs to be.   On the defensive side he shows high IQ and the ability to close down on separation very quickly. This senior year might be a special one for this Nixa Eagle.     Young Leeland Walden showed his chops on defense.   It was pretty hard not to notice the linebackers play at this tournament. Walden was in the correct spot to disrupt the quarterback all tournament long. He made the passer second guess and pump fake throws by showing some pretty good sideline to sideline speed, and sitting down in passing lanes.   Walden grabbed himself a interception in his first game jumping a pass perfectly and showing impressive hands to snatch the ball out of the air. I'm very interested in seeing what he has in store this upcoming season.
