6 more offensive debuts in LA’s latest 2027 rankings to check out

Bennett is a quick, speedy route-runner who doesn't need much time to create separation with his route-running and can take the top off of the defense. But also shows the strength and sure hands to make some tough catches through contact.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1606251' first='Zamaurri' last='Brown'] — 6-0, 190 ATH/DB — Mamou</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brown has been one of the state's best-kept secrets much of his high school career at rural Mamou before Tulane offered early this fall and a few other programs followed suit in recent months. And his film shows potentially one of the more versatile and dynamic athletes in the class — listed here on the offensive list because of some traction as a potential college running back, but having proven himself a playmaker at running back, receiver, defensive back and return man for his Green Demons with his combination of burst, balance, speed and ball skills. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2214718' first='Syrian' last='Joseph'] — 6-1, 195 RB/WR — Acadiana</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Wreckin' Rams' multisport standout, a notable performer for their track program as well, has been on the PRZLA radar for some time, but may have found a positional home this offseason at running back and looked the part this spring of a Division-I prospect in that role. Joseph has great size and the explosive step to get through the gap or bounce to the outside where he can open up that track speed in the open field for big gains.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2228465' first='Dillon' last='Robb'] —&nbsp;6-4, 225 TE — Neville</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Robb was one of the major breakout athletes of this fall both in terms of his production and his potential and, following a transfer from West Ouachita to Neville, will see bigger tests and a bigger spotlight this fall than ever before. He immediately passes the eye test as a big-bodied target and backs up the measurables with his physicality as a blocker and athleticism to go up and make leaping catches when necessary over defenders. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2085243' first='Griffin' last='Vorhaben'] —&nbsp;6-6, 300 OL — Jesuit</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The big left tackle earned all-district first-team Catholic League recognition this fall for his efforts anchoring the Blue Jays' line as a powerful mauler in the trenches and saw his recruiting process gain some momentum this summer, including offers and interest from FBS programs. But, like some other recent Jesuit standouts, he found an all-around academic and athletic fit in the Ivy League he couldn't pass on and committed this month to Cornell. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Braeshun Weary — 6-1, 160 WR/ATH — Covington</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another player on this list who recently landed on a college commitment, Weary hit the radar this year with an all-district junior season as a return specialist who also contributed about 400 total yards and four scores to his Lions' offense combined between his receiving and his rushing — essentially any way the team could get the ball in his hands and let him showcase his "Flash" nickname. He opted this month to commit to South Alabama, which adds the long, fluid athlete to its growing Louisiana flavor in the class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
