2029 Prospects On The Rise

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">The 2029 recruiting class continues to take shape with new prospects emerging this spring. Here we break down the prospects that have recently seen their recruiting stock on the rise through the camp season. </h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Snyder picked up his initial college offer from Boise State in late May and will see his recruitment continue to rise going forward. 6'2” 180 lbs. he's a big bodied WR with outstanding ball skills. Flashes a natural ability to create space and positional leverage allowing him to effectively play the ball in traffic. Confident and strong hands, he extends at the catch point to maintain separation from his body. Like his body control and ability to adjust to midair ball flight. Look for him to have a breakout season and to keep stacking offers.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Anderson was listed as a future D1 prospect back in April and that came to fruition with his first offer from Northern Arizona earlier this month. The 6'1” 155 lb. CB has the coveted length colleges look for with a 75 inch wingspan and the athleticism to be a lock down cover guy. Plays physical using active hands to throw receivers off their line and establish positioning with the ball in the air. Speed and reactionary quickness give him the ability to cover a wide route tree at all three levels. Forceful tackler that can disengage from blockers and secure the tackle in the open field. Explosive first step, he gets out of his stance quickly to work to the second level and lead on pulls. His lateral agility and footwork allows him to move sideline to sideline and match defenders movement to initiate contact in space. Advanced technique and fundamentals, he understands leverage and blocking angles in addition to having great hand placement and balance at the contact point. He's an active safety that can effectively fit the run or drop back into coverage. Shows good awareness of route concepts while relating to limit separation and close throwing lanes. Quick to diagnose the run/pass making decisive reads and reacting with a quick trigger. Strong one on one open field tackler that can line up a ball carrier and break down in space to secure a tackle. Versatile skillset gives him explosive ability in the return game and could see him turn into a three phase playmaker as he gains more experience.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Johnson is high upside prospect that earned his first offer from Arizona. 6'0” 180 lbs. he's a playmaker on both sides of the ball at FS and WR using speed, instincts, and ball skills. Excelled at FS where he has great range and anticipation for ball location. Closes on throws with burst and attacks the ball in the air to create turnovers or disrupt receivers at the catch point. Like his ability to track the football and time out his jump. Speed stands out with good top end speed that is sustainable throughout the play. Strong foundational skillset and developing technique will see result in increased recruiting attention as he progresses through his career.</p>
