2028 Prospects in Louisiana Who Need Ranked Higher

The state of Louisiana has plenty of talented prospects in the 2028 class, but not everyone is ranked where they deserve to be, honestly. When it comes to the next rankings change, these five have made a strong case to move up.    The one player I believe needs to jump up the most is [player_tooltip player_id='1845257' first='Dalen' last='Powell']. Powell is a running back from the state of Louisiana, and he is one of the better players when it comes to the state as a whole. In fact, one could argue that he is not only the best player in the class of 2028 at the running back position, but also the best running back in the state regardless of the class. He has shown time and time again that he is one of the more reliable backs, thanks to his elusiveness, but also his strength as a whole. He is arguably my favorite prospect in this class.     [player_tooltip player_id='1802167' first='Kameron' last='Grisby'] is one of the better players in the state of Louisiana, and in fact, the best cornerback in the state, in my opinion. He is an elite prospect due to his size, but one could argue that he is deserving of this ranking due to his fluid movement despite being a bigger prospect. This will allow him to stay within reach of the best wide receivers in the state. I believe he will have plenty of big moments this year when it comes to the catchpoint. He will have plenty of takeaways this season, and will be the player who sees a major rise inside the top-25. One could argue that he deserves to be in the top five.     If you are wondering why the name looks familiar, it's because he is the son of current LSU Tigers head football coach Lane Kiffin. While many know Knox from this, it is important to know that he doesn't need his dad's name to get him into college. In fact, he is good enough to get to college even without the last name Kiffin. He is a great gunslinger and is one of the more composed prospects when it comes to standing in the pocket. He is elite in many aspects of his game, and his transfer to Louisiana now allows him to be ranked. He is a natural performer and ready to crack the rankings.     [player_tooltip player_id='1618856' first='Darren' last='Coates Jr.'] is a player who has a ton of potential at the linebacker position. I am most excited to see how he does in this season due to his growing size, but his developing bag of tricks. He is likely a linebacker at the next level, but he is versatile enough to play off the EDGE when he is needed to. He will be a priority target for many schools across the country, thanks to his pass-rushing skills, but also his drop-back skills when needed in zone coverage. Coates Jr. is ranked too low and will need to be ranked higher in the next update.     Being a running back in the state of Louisiana comes with a lot of pressure, as the state is simply different when it comes to defense, which means that the run game has to be on point if you want to win a game. If you like bruising backs, then Street II is your guy, but he isn't a one-trick pony. In fact, the talented prospect is quite quick for his size, which is something that he does better than most in the class. He could see a reasonable jump in the rankings, which is what I am looking for when it comes to the class of 2028. All eyes are on Street II.
