On Saturday, May 2, 2026 I was invited out by You Are Athlete to cover their annual Regional Exposure Camp for the third consecutive year. This year's event was hosted by Piscataway High School and was, in my experience, their best yet. Featuring the best crop of talent I have seen out of their events yet, it was extremely well ran and plenty of reps to be had.

Below are my notes for a handful of prospects at the position group I referenced in this article's title.

Coming down from New York was [player_tooltip player_id='2200535' first='Brandon' last='Shoen']. I thought that Shoen showed the need for improve balance. Lowering his pad level is one way to do this, especially when closing in on the ball carrier; and running upright, rather than with his upper body hunched over, is another.

If there was one clear indicator that Leroy Wilson, Jr. was a linebacker, it was his feet. Wilson was a prospect that moved much better once he got going - particularly down hill. Wilson, in my opinion, was best when moving forward and attacking.

[player_tooltip player_id='1634107' first='Zaire' last='Graves'] had the opportunity to just roll out of bed and compete. The Piscataway prospect, a young one at that, did his best and I hope he learned a thing or two. My biggest piece of feedback for Graves is that he must come to balance and play lower. Too often he got to the running back and whiffed because he did not break down. His pad level remained high throughout the afternoon.

One of the larger linebacking prospects was [player_tooltip player_id='2044359' first='Kevin' last='Auguste']. Due to his sheer size, I initially tabbed Auguste as an edge player; however, his performance featured good feet and range. Additionally, I thought that he used his length nicely to disrupt passing lanes and corral ball carriers. These things were convincing enough to agree - Auguste is a linebacker. In order to avoid putting his hands in the ground, he needs to keep his feet/balance, as I caught him stumbling a few times.
