Prep Redzone Louisiana always makes a concerted effort to spotlight some of the most notable football-relevant takeaways from track seasons in the winter and spring.

This year has featured more coverage of the sport than ever, including some particularly memorable and notable — even record-breaking — performances by some of the state's top football prospects.

Articles following this month's outdoor state championships have already included notes on all performers who scored points for their schools in individual events and organized and categorized lists of top football performers in all events regardless of school classification.

As we wrap up our complete coverage of the season, we wanted to spotlight some potentially less-heralded or -heavily recruited prospects whose speed, explosiveness and all-around athleticism was underscored by their showings in track and field and should garner some closer looks from college coaches.

Here's a look at six rising seniors on the offensive side of the ball of particular note in this context.

Tayven Carter — 5-11, 150 RB/ATH — Delhi Charter

The Gators' two-way and multisport star has been a productive performer for the football program and a consistent reference in Prep Redzone Louisiana's track coverage the past few springs. Rural, small-school stars can take some time, if not even get somewhat lost, in the the recruiting shuffle, but Carter's top triple jump (49-01.00) and second-best long jump (23-02.75) among all football prospects speak to his explosiveness.

Jeremy Favorite — 5-10, 190 RB — North Iberville

Favorite is a highly productive member of his Bears' talented 2027 class who is looking to build on his 1,800-yard junior campaign, and he flashed some notable verified speed at nearby LSU this month with a 10.93-second 100-meter dash and 22.23-second 200-meter dash that both not only scored points for his team in Class 1A competition, but were also among the top showings among all football prospects. His 100-meter dash matched the times of an LSU Football signee and North Dakota State Track signee as a top-15 overall football mark at the event.

Jordin Griffin — 5-9, 160 RB — Barbe

The Buccaneers' multisport standout is probably the most familiar name on this list for most fans and coaches because of his LSU Baseball commitment and his strong finish to his junior season on the football field this fall. And he appears poised to continue to build on that foundation with a 10.82-second 100-meter dash and anchor leg of a 41.84-second 4x100-meter relay to wrap up the school year and springboard into a summer in which some colleges intend to make more of a push to potentially land him as a football signee for the next level.

Antravion Kinsey — 6-3, 150 WR/DB — Ringgold

One of the more under-the-radar names on this list despite a productive junior season as a versatile receiving and rushing weapon, Kinsey participated in four events at this month's state meet highlighted by his winning 21-10.25 long jump that was among the best by any football player. He also ran an 11.19-second 100-meter dash and a 22.82-second 200-meter dash and anchored a 1:33.87 4x200-meter relay. His film is intriguing with his speed, balance, ball skills and vision, and he's been listed as tall as 6-foot-3, which gives him some wiggle room in that regard to still check viable measurables boxes

Deveon Marks — 6-2, 160 WR/DB — Many

Marks is another under-the-radar name for whom there is the least to go on here in terms of available football film. But his 22.35-second 200-meter dash this month ranked 12th among all football-relevant performers, and he has a basketball recruiting profile that includes a notable height listing and some football of him anticipating and jumping a pass on defense, breaking away and elevating for a dunk at what would have been the beginning of his sophomore school year at the latest — a clip that could hint at some timing and explosiveness that could translate well on the field.

Ke'Shaun Toney — 5-10, 165 WR/ATH — East Feliciana

Another intriguing athlete who has garnered some mentions in previous PRZLA track articles and added some more fuel to his case for a closer look with his 22-08.50 long jump, one of the best among all football players this spring, and 5-09.75 high jump, which also scored points for his Tigers. East Feliciana has a history of producing talented multisport standouts who go on to exceed their recruiting rankings at the next level, and Toney is one of a couple athletes in the program now worth a closer look.
