Monthly Recruiting Report: May 2026

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>May is often the month when recruiting begins to heat up. For the 2027 class, that's certainly been the case here in New Mexico with multiple commitments and offers. The biggest development was the dual commitments by the dynamic St. Pius X QB-RB duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1154948' first='Isaiah' last='Carpenter'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1154954' first='Hershul' last='Olloway']. The former committed to New Mexico State while the latter committed to New Mexico. So, they're teammates now but they'll be rivals later.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>But they aren't the only 2027 prospects in New Mexico with the opportunity to play FBS football. As we mentioned in previous reports, Carlsbad LB [player_tooltip player_id='1248663' first='Colton' last='McKibben'], our No. 1 prospect in the 2027 class, committed to UCLA. It's the busiest camping and 7x7 month of the year. Typically, offers are extended following these camps.
