The recruiting activity is continuing to ratchet up as Louisiana high school spring practices and school years wind down.

Six more rising seniors announced commitments during the first two weeks of May with more likely to follow sooner than later.

Here are a few notes on the latest moves.

[player_tooltip player_id='469439' first='Ahmad' last='Hudson'] — 6-7, 245 TE — Ruston —> LSU

Another top-five prospect announced his college decision in early May, surprising even some of his own teammates — not so much by the choice, as the timing. The highly touted, multisport standout announced his pledge to home-state LSU where he has discussed with coaches Lane Kiffin and Will Wade his intentions to play both football and basketball. On the field, he has the potential to give Kiffin and company an elite weapon with his rare combination of size, athleticism and ball skills.

Josiah Morgan — 6-1, 190 WR — Ruston —> Houston

Hudson's commitment has been the state's clear headliner the past couple of weeks, but he hasn't been alone. In fact, he wasn't even the first Bearcats star to announce his plans this month. Houston added its second Louisiana commitment — and second wide receiver in fact — for the cycle when Morgan pledged to the Cougars over Baylor and others. He's one of the major stock-risers around the state this year and another great win for coach Willie Fritz and company, though other major programs appear to continue to show their interest as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='942208' first='Mason' last='Moore'] — 5-10, 170 DB — Central —> Ole Miss

The Rebels appear poised for the second straight recruiting cycle to add a defensive standout from Central, this time with the announcement from Moore, the instinctive nickel/safety who has been a consistent playmaker for the Wildcats the past couple of years going back to his sophomore role on the program's historic title team. Moore is quick athletically and plays even faster with his high football IQ and, while not the biggest player at the position, is a more than willing tackler in space or crashing down toward the line of scrimmage.

[player_tooltip player_id='463125' first='Savoy' last='Guidry'] — 6-1, 180 DB — Holy Cross —> Stanford

Another smart and physical defensive back, the Tigers' star found a great academics and athletics fit with a commitment this past week to Stanford. Guidry has been a playmaker from early opportunities as a freshman, never shying away from a moment and continuing to raise his stock as he developed physically both getting stronger in the weight room and attacking his speed work and improving his track times.

[player_tooltip player_id='1612711' first='Makelin' last='Lemoine'] — 5-10, 185 RB — Elton —> McNeese State

This list is loaded with productive performers for their respective high school teams, but none more so than the Indians' star with his 2,600 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns and effectiveness in all three phases. Lemoine announced his commitment this week to the nearby Cowboys where he has the potential to become a future star and fan favorite.

[player_tooltip player_id='1620696' first='Richmond' last='Saunier'] — 6-2, 200 QB — Lafayette —> Dartmouth

Similar to Guidry with Stanford, Saunier found a great all-around fit in terms of both athletics and academics. And perhaps no commitment knows better the Mighty Lions' passer the opportunity, expectations and culture of his choice as he will follow older brother Grayson's footsteps in the program and at the position. Dartmouth had long been the favorite to land the younger Saunier as well, and Richmond announced those plans this month, marking the fifth quarterback in Louisiana's rising senior class to lock in a Division-I plan.

[player_tooltip player_id='1614578' first='John' last='Walker V'] — 6-1, 175 WR — Plaquemine —> Louisiana (Lafayette)

The Ragin' Cajuns' pipeline from just across the Atchafalaya Basin in Iberville Parish remains flowing steady with the state's latest commitment announcement coming from the long, athletic and highly productive Plaquemine pass-catcher. Walker has been a top weapon for his Green Devils the past two seasons and saw his recruiting process take off this offseason, but he didn't need to look far for his ultimate decision with an opportunity to follow other teammates' footsteps to Lafayette.
