Spring Watchlist: New Players on Our Radar

Wright thrives off his mobility, leverage, and power. He's quick on his feet and really impresses on screen passes, moving from level to level with ease and creating tons of space for the ball carrier to capitalize on. </em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>Wright also impresses in pass protection. He's quick to react and has great bend and power, keeping interior DL outside of the pocket and helping create plenty of time for his QB to work with."</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wright put together some really impressive tape this past fall. With that size and speed, and him playing in a program that's produced plenty of WR talent in the last few years, there's a lot to be excited about with Williams game. He's quick on his feet, instinctive, and can fly around the field to make stops against the run and pass.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>I'm a fan of Jones tackling. He gets low, wraps up, and doesn't allow for extra yards after making initial contact. All of these traits will pay off huge for Jones. We all need to watch out for him this fall."</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jones has a few clips from a while back below. Make sure you give him a watch. He sees the field well, does a good job following his blockers, and can quickly turn upfield and create explosive carries.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>At DB, McVay thrives off his reactivity and quickness. He has a high football IQ that helps him diagnose plays and quickly put himself in a great position to make an impact on the ball. He's a talented DB in Montgomery Catholic's secondary and has a huge junior season ahead.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>"McQueen is a versatile DB who can line up and produce out in coverage against some really talented pass catchers. He's quick on his feet, has impressive timing and hand usage, and does a great job tracking the ball in the air, creating some impressive PBUs and INTs.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>McQueen also shows up big in run support. He can fly around the field and dish out huge hits and create some big tackles, preventing huge gains on the ground from breaking free in the open field. Overall, there's a ton to like with McQueen's film. I really look forward to seeing what he can do with another year under his belt.
