Here we take a look at a few of Oregon's 2028 athletes who should get a nice bump next time the PRZ rankings are updated. Individuals listed are all over the map ranging from potential D1 guys to small college recruits. Check it..

[player_tooltip player_id='2182283' first='LJ' last='Leland'] 28' 6-1 175 WR/DB Wilsonville

Look for Leland to be one of the state's breakout performers next season. He has been elite on the 7v7 circuit and should thrive with all everything QB [player_tooltip player_id='1359052' first='Trevor' last='Glos'] back distributing the ball. If it wasn't for the team's depth, he likely would have gotten much more time last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2131576' first='Xavier' last='Minor'] 28' 6-3 170 Safety Central Catholic

You have to like Minor's size and ability to play multiple spots on both sides of the field. Watch the tape and you see a big DB that's able to run with smaller WR's. The Team Lillard standout should make an immediate impact this season for a tradition rich Central Catholic program who is now competing with Nelson for the Mt Hood title every year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2089834' first='Jack' last='Musgrove'] 28' 6-0 190 QB La Grande

It's not always easy getting pub playing small school football out in rural Eastern Oregon, but Musgrove has done a good job thus far. The 2nd team all-league QB has dual threat status accounting for 12 TD's (7 passing, 5 rushing) and 2 INTs in four league games.

[player_tooltip player_id='1953898' first='Emmett' last='Robison'] 28' 5-11 155 ATH/CB Sheldon

Robison is a good-looking athlete who got some varsity time as a sophomore, making 7 tackles on the year. He impresses with his overall versatility, being a point guard on the basketball floor while likely being a contributor on the offensive side of the football as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2163621' first='Cole' last='Iwamoto'] 28' 6-2 185 WR Ashland

The Grizzlies have some legit skill dudes coming up through ranks. Iwamoto had a big sophomore season and should make a nice jump up the PRZ rankings board when updated. His 846 all-purpose yards (545 receiving) and 8 TDs were some of the best numbers in Oregon among underclassmen, highlighted by his 20.9 yards per catch average.

[player_tooltip player_id='2181332' first='Nolan' last='Pickens'] 28' 6-2 195 LB/TE Lakeridge

As everyone knows the Pacers graduated 35 seniors and double digit all conference athletes, but they do have numerous young guys coming up who can play. Pickens is an interesting prospect with legit size who should be a factor in the years ahead.

[player_tooltip player_id='1893936' first='Zach' last='Taxy'] 28' 6-2 235 OLB Grant

Taxy has the size and physicality to be one of the best in the PIL this coming season, after averaging 6 tackles per game with a handful of sacks last year. He will be at the Northwest Showcase at Western Oregon in June, the largest collegiate showcase on the west coast.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132637' first='Apollo' last='Johnson'] 28' 6-0 165 WR/DB Cleveland

It's a tough situation at Cleveland with the team going (0-9) last season. I have nothing but respect for a few of the all-conference youngsters, such as freshman QB [player_tooltip player_id='2056041' first='Jude' last='Buck'] and the sophomore WR Johnson, who garnered honorable mention all PIL accolades. For the year, he caught 20 passes for 369 yards and a TD with 2 INTs on D.

[player_tooltip player_id='2056101' first='Ethan' last='Shaffer'] 28' 6-0 260 DT North Medford

It was a tough year for the Black Tornado at (1-8) , but they were much better than what their record indicated with respectable losses to good programs (Grants Pass -3, West Salem -7, Wilsonville -11). They were also able to identify some of their young talent with individuals like Shaffer stepping up and starting on the D line as a sophomore. Watch the film as he has legit strength and moves relatively well for a younger athlete.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630298' first='Elijah' last='Wortz'] 28' 6-3 175 WR/DB Sandy

Sandy is going to be one of the most interesting teams in the entire state this coming season. Wortz is long and has impressive speed like many of his teammates. I expect him and [player_tooltip player_id='1742820' first='Hudson' last='Pearson'] to be two of the best at the 5A level and combo nicely with the elite cast of perimeter guys they have returning.

[player_tooltip player_id='2103085' first='Keaton' last='Welch'] 28' 6-2 190 QB Sheldon

As referenced multiple times, [player_tooltip player_id='1539446' first='Ryker' last='Rohaley'] did an outstanding job stepping in at QB as a sophomore, hitting on 70% of his passes. Welch is also an impressive overall athlete and one of the better baseball players around. The Irish will have two solid QBs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2182284' first='Ace' last='Dotson'] 28' 5-11 245 DL Oregon City

Dotson isn't likely to be a big-time recruit as a 5-11 D lineman, but he was one of the better sophomores in the TRL last season, finishing with 20+_tackles, 3 TFL's and a team leading 3 sacks. Look for him to be a 1st or 2nd team all-conference guy for the next few seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='1750008' first='Mariano' last='Caminotti'] 28' 5-9 200 RB Grant

Caminotti earned all-league honors for the Generals as a sophomore and is a nice addition opposite one of Oregon's top 2027 athletes in [player_tooltip player_id='709506' first='Deckard' last='Hale']. This is a big year for Grant to get back on track after going 3-6 last season.
