Final Five Reps (pass - lined up at left tackle)

First rep: edge lined up wide, Lucas gets right into his kick slide and stops the edge from getting outside. The edge tries to go back inside, but Lucas ultimately stands him up, gets inside hand placement. Second rep, the edge tries to beat him inside, and Lucas impedes his progress. The edge tries to spin to the outside but falls. Lucas controls him to the ground. He has a clean pass-pro foundation (feet, hands, and leverage). Lucas was able to handle both the inside and outside counters. Impressed with his physicality. Worth noting that he is now at the St. James Academy in Virginia.

Final Five Reps (pass- lined up at center)

First rep: snaps the ball, the defensive lineman is able to beat him to the inside, but Wynter recovers and rides him out by the quarterback, no sack. Second rep: gets control off the snap, defensive tackle uses a bull rush (not allowed in this setting) to push him back towards the quarterback. Wynter has strong high-level recovery and snap-to-set mechanics. Thought he did a good job of redirecting the rusher effectively. Has to work on his anchor vs. the bull rush. Needs to continue to work on his core strength.

Final Five Reps (pass- lined up at left guard)

First rep: The defensive tackle fakes inside, then goes back outside, and Ryan doesn't move his feet in time to get in a better position to get his hands on him, resulting in a sack. Second rep: defensive tackle fakes outside this time, gets Ryan to commit to the outside before going inside to get the sack. The main issues with both reps are that they paused during the reps. Any slight hesitation in pass-protection can lead to a sack. Needs work on resetting his feet quicker. Also needs to work on being patient and not biting on the first move.

Final Five Reps (pass - lined up at right edge)

First rep: Catches the offensive tackle back on his feet as he fakes to the outside and comes back inside. Second rep: he tries an outside rush; the tackle mirrors his movement; he spins inside but is met again; no sack. Third rep: sets up the outside move, does a great job using his hands to keep the tackle's hands off him, nice, quick move, beats the tackle to the outside for the sack. What stands out is that he does a nice job of setting up his moves and was able to manipulate the tackle he went against. Harper used effective inside counters and showed that he can win outside with speed. I like his hand usage, but they can even be more violent. Nice closing burst. a ton of upside.
