He was productive as a sophomore, but I think he has a chance to really break out as a junior. He is a tall, cut player at 6'3 180. He acts as a natural mismatch down the field, proving capable of outreaching defenders for the football and plucking it off their helmets. He is a good athlete who can tap into different gears, but I am really looking for him to add more pop as a junior. He knows how to get DBs vertical and break off his route to work back towards the QB, and more nuance and better technique will make that area of his game devastating. He is a tall, lean 6'5 240, playing as a true DE with the potential to slide inside long term as he gets bigger. He is a raw athlete, still developing his quick twitch, but he has the subtle bend and functional athleticism to chase the ball and shed. He is a naturally strong player, which you can see evidently as blockers hang onto a threat trying to stop him. Kelly plays both ways and is probably more of an athlete projection at this point, but there's plenty to like about what he can do as a passer. He is an impressive athlete who can extend plays and rattle off explosives with his legs. His release and mechanics generally are raw, but he gets the ball out quickly and can spin it with a tight trajectory. He has flashes of lofty touch as well. He is a smaller prospect, hovering around 5'10. but compensates with the rest of the game. He has a really good feel for pressure, both in and around the pocket, which allows him to extend plays and evade pressure when you factor in his athleticism. He has quick, clean mechanics and better arm strength than you'd think, quickly putting the ball on receivers in the middle of the field. He is a shorter, stoutly built receiver who might project best as a slot at his size, but he plays inside out for Troup County. His explosiveness is what sets up his game. He is quick off the line, powers through cushion, and maintains his burst through release points and while carrying routes down the field. I think this is a D1 receiver prospect, and a recent offer from Eastern Illinois adds more reassurance to that claim. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
