With the PA Classic coming up this week, we kick off my New York Preview Coverage, with a team who I think can easily run the table in the 14U bracket. Syracuse Elite, combines athletes from across the Syracuse Region, and paired with the best uniforms in the tournament, Coach JJ and his squad have the roster ready to make waves in the 14U Circuit

First up is the Rochester Kid [player_tooltip player_id='1354565' first='Anthony' last='Lucas']. He was part of a talented Freshman Class for East High School, that should win a state championship in the next few years. Lucas stands at 5'11" 170-Pounds, displaying an outstanding frame for the WR Position. I expect to see him on both sides of the ball this weekend, and given his footwork, speed and IQ I expect him to be a major contributor for Syracuse Elite. On offense, he will likely be the main threat and an impressive showing from Lucas, can lead Syracuse Elite easily to victory.

The son of Syracuse Head Coach Fran Brown will be suiting up for Syracuse Elite this weekend, and he is way more then just "A Coaches Son" Brown plays on both sides of the ball, and like his father is an excellent DB. I like his footwork and ability to stick with opposing pass catchers during 7v7 games. On offense, he is a quick route runner, who displays good footwork, and outstanding hands, making tough catches look easy. Brown will be a name making multiple plays this weekend.

Last up in the names to watch is incoming Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1633099' first='Deondray' last='Tape Jr']. The 5'7" 130-Pound Prospect, plays on both sides of the ball, and is a major threat for opposing teams. Tape is elusive, and utilizes his outstanding footwork, along with good body control to evade tackles and players in 7v7. His route running is outstanding, and what I believe will set him apart from the rest this weekend, and make him a player to watch for Syracuse Elite.

Arney is a rising QB across the state who I expect to be near the top of his class. While it seems cliche to name the QB as the X-Factor, this Syracuse Elite team has outstanding weapons across the board, meaning a signal caller will make the difference. Arney showcases a good arm, and can throw balls into tight windows with a tight spiral. If Arney can continue dominating like he has at Pylon and other 7v7 tournaments this season, Syracuse Elite will see themselves as one of the top teams of the weekend in 14U.

Other Names To Watch

Luis Alvarado Jr: Liverpool

The Liverpool Freshman, also plain the 18U squad, and is an outstanding prospect in the 2029 Class. Alvarado can play on both sides of the ball, where I see his footwork and hands being used as a major factor this weekend. Look for him to have a star performance in PA this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='1640084' first='Robbie' last='Foltz']: Auburn

Foltz is another sneaky good player for Syracuse Elite. The Auburn WR, is one of the Watch List players in our 2029 Class. Foltz uses good footwork and solid route running to get open and make plays. Another offensive weapon Austin Arney can utilize this weekend.

Aden Sutton: Bishop Ludden

Sutton is a defensive name I expect to see making plays this weekend. The Bishop Ludden Prospect, plays on both sides of the ball, but made a bigger impact for his squad on defense this season. Sutton utilizes a high IQ, and good footwork, which I expect to be on full display this weekend at United Sports.
