Because of bad weather forecast on Sunday, the event was moved to Saturday only so the action started early and was fast throughout the day. In the 18U division, CHJ Elite made a run to the championship game but came up short to Hustle Inc 405. In bracket play, they had a memorable multi-OT victory over C4 and had many other moments that got our attention. Below, we take a look at six guys that stood out throughout the action on Saturday in Broken Arrow!

[player_tooltip player_id='1836765' first='Brayden' last='McMullen'] - 2028 Quarterback (Lincoln Christian)

CHJ Elite rolled with a few different quarterbacks on Saturday. The first one that stood out was Lincoln Christian 2028 signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1836765' first='Brayden' last='McMullen'] early on in pool play. McMullen was not only firing darts all over the field, but he was acting as the coach for this squad on the offensive side of the ball, getting everyone where they needed to be. This is the second straight PRZ 7v7 tournament that McMullen has performed very well. He was one of the better quarterbacks in our tournament a month ago. McMullen is going to be battling for that QB1 spot at Lincoln Christian this fall. He definitely has the skill to win it but this weekend, we saw more of the leadership qualities from him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2114344' first='Bryceton' last='Huerta'] - 2028 Wide Receiver (Regent Prep)

This is the third time that we've watched Regent Prep 2028 speedster [player_tooltip player_id='2114344' first='Bryceton' last='Huerta'] in person this offseason and each time, we come away more impressed with him. Huerta first stood out at our camp in February. He played well in our first 7v7 tournament a little over a month ago and then he was dominant again on Saturday. Huerta brings a ton of speed to the game and he uses that to create easy separation. Another thing we like is how quickly he can identify what a defense is doing and exploit the weak spot in a zone. He was making plays at all three levels and making it look easy at times. But he also knows how to be physical and made some gritty catches in traffic.

[player_tooltip player_id='1167272' first='Cimone' last='Smitherman'] - 2028 Tight End/Linebacker (Bixby)

Bixby 2028 [player_tooltip player_id='1167272' first='Cimone' last='Smitherman'] is on the short list of players we want to see in person when the pads come on in the spring and ultimately the fall. Physically, he checks just about every box you have. And whether it's been our showcase camps or 7v7 tournaments, Smitherman has routinely been a top performer and a guy that makes some highlight plays. Saturday was no different. In one play early on Saturday, Smitherman was on the other end of a jump ball on the goal line. He went up and snagged the ball out of the air. We're looking for Smitherman to take that next step when the pads come on and have an impact on Friday night. He's performed well this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] - 2028 Running Back/Defensive Back (Lincoln Christian)

We have written about Lincoln Christian 2028 running back and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1164507' first='CJ' last='Wright'] quite a bit over the last three years and he's earned it. Because every time we see him in person, he's routinely one of the more electric players on the field. He made one catch on Saturday about 15 yards down the field. He then bobbed and weaved in and out of traffic and hit the acceleration that not many can keep up with and glided into the end zone. It was incredibly impressive to watch in person. He then made some huge catches for CHJ Elite during bracket play and also had some big moments on defense. Wright is a special athlete that continues to shine bright every time we see him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1205103' first='Javen' last='Crowley'] - 2028 Quarterback (Broken Arrow)

While McMullen was the first quarterback that stood out for CHJ Elite, it was Broken Arrow 2028 signal caller [player_tooltip player_id='1205103' first='Javen' last='Crowley'] that finished things off for the squad. Crowley played quite a bit during bracket play and he was making some clutch throws throughout. Specifically in the multi-overtime win over C4 in the semifinals, Crowley was getting the job done. Like several others, this isn't Crowley's first time impressing us at a PRZ 7v7 event or a PRZ event in general. He was the QB MVP of our camp back in February. Crowley had another strong performance on Saturday. Making a ton of throws and keeping his accuracy with different arm angles on the release.

[player_tooltip player_id='1833350' first='Kyran' last='Myers'] - 2028 Wide Receiver (Broken Arrow)

Our final CHJ Elite standout from Saturday is a new name for us. 2028 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1833350' first='Kyran' last='Myers'] out of Broken Arrow was someone that we weren't familiar with prior to the tournament. It didn't take long for him to become one of the names we were definitely writing about this week on PRZ. Myers isn't the biggest wide receiver but the 2028 product is an absolute dog on the field. He played a very similar role to Huerta for CHJ Elite. He used his quickness and overall speed to create separation but he wasn't afraid to get physical and he made some very tough catches in traffic. Myers was a very reliable pass catcher and he brought a lot of intensity to the field on Saturday.
