DORCHESTER | It almost doesn't seem fair when you give a three-time state championship quarterback the No. 1 ranked player and receiver of the 2027 Class by PRZ as another weapon to his arsenal.

But that's exactly the situation that Oceanside Collegiate quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1094944' first='Aiden' last='Manavian'] finds himself in during his final offseason of high school football. [player_tooltip player_id='378969' first='Jaiden' last='Kelly-Murray'] transferred to the Landsharks and makes what was already a potent offense even more lethal.

Those two found their way in the rotation a couple of times during individual work and it almost wasn't fair to the defensive back on the other side of the ball.

“We've trained together so we already had a connection, but it was good to get out here and do it against live competition,” Manavian said. “It's awesome to be here with so many great athletes. I already train with a lot of these guys, so it was good to come out and get some work together. I want to go out and win a fourth and we're working hard every day to make that happen.”

There was a plethora of talent on hand at Woodland High School for Session I and II (Class of 2027 kids) for the Carolina Coaches Combine. Let's look at some of the top quarterback and wide receiver performances from the two early sessions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1699393' first='Justus' last='Jamison'] WR and [player_tooltip player_id='1824942' first='Galil' last='Frazier'] WR Colleton County

If the talent the Cougars brought to the combine translates over to the field, Colleton County might be one of the more improved teams in the state. Jamison and Frazier both showed great athleticism in the drills and Frazier checked in right at 6-foot and seemed like he could go up and catch the ball at its highest point. Pair these two with [player_tooltip player_id='1644939' first='Keandre' last='Allen'] and we think the Cougars could have a high-powered offense in the fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2079769' first='Malik' last='Callen'] WR and [player_tooltip player_id='1036733' first='Henry' last='Rivers'] QB Berkeley

There were a couple of newcomers to combine work even though Rivers has been a starter since his freshman season. Callen displayed excellent jumping ability and is going to give Rivers another talented target in the fall. Rivers has been a known entity and seems to have developed more of a runner than passer in his junior season. He threw the ball well with a quick release in individual drills. His athleticism has never been questioned. It's how he connects with Callen and the other Stags receivers that will determine how many offers he receives to be a quarterback on the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1819721' first='Josiah' last='Mitchell'] WR Ashley Ridge

Mitchell had one of the better pro shuttle times among the wide receivers and had some good moments during individual drills. He has a great running mate in [player_tooltip player_id='1036782' first='Jagger' last='Spivey']. Mitchell is going to be able to stretch the field and has great moves with the ball in his hands. We've already spoken of Spivey's ability with great hands and speed. These two could combine for 1,500 yards and make a quarterback look good in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id='1821469' first='Owen' last='George'] QB Academic Magnet

George showed that he loves to compete as we went full bore in each drill. He was one of the more dialed in quarterbacks we saw in Session I and he gave it his all in everything he did. He was one of the stronger quarterbacks and threw a couple of solid out patterns in individual work. George had trouble with a couple of long balls but as we mentioned the conditions of strong winds could have played a role on some of those balls.

[player_tooltip player_id='1823299' first='Amir' last='Chisolm'] WR Porter-Gaud

Chisolm finished in the upper half of the 40-yard dash and competed well in all the stations. He showed good hands and solid route running once things moved to the individual drills. He caught the ball away from his body and we witnessed him making a couple of quick moves after the catch to create separation from the defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1822035' first='Ashton' last='Kellermann'] WR and [player_tooltip player_id='1821540' first='Hayes' last='Goddard'] QB Philip Simmons

These two have already produced on the field with Kellermann over a 1,300-yard season and Goddard over 2,600 yards. They both checked in at 5-foot-8 and just over 150 pounds but much like they attacked during the season, they did the same during the combine. Kellermann was able to beat press coverage and make catches while closely covered. Goddard had a strong delivery and got the ball where only his receiver could catch it.

[player_tooltip player_id='1820290' first='Kayden' last='Bethea'] WR Wilson

Bethea was one of the best we saw at creating separation and using his speed to break free from his defender. He had great straight-line speed but also came in and out of breaks quickly. He caught the ball well and was able to be one of the strongest wide receivers in Session II.

[player_tooltip player_id='1673915' first='Reo' last='Stevenson'] WR North Myrtle Beach

Stevenson ran a 4.62 40-yard dash and was one of the top guys in the Miles Per Hour category. He's versatile and despite a smaller frame, competed well against taller and more physical defensive backs. Stevenson caught everything that came within arm's length.

[player_tooltip player_id='1603854' first='Eric' last='Richardson'] WR Lugoff-Elgin

The biggest compliment we can give Richardson is we had college coaches reach out to us and ask about him once the combine was over. He earned MVP honors and did it with outstanding numbers as well as catching the ball well during individual drills. He's fast and displays great hips where he can get open on any pattern. He's a deep ball threat as well as being able to catch the ball in the flat and take it the distance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1827442' first='AJ' last='Hillary'] QB and [player_tooltip player_id='1819537' first='Collin' last='Tillman'] QB North Augusta

Hillary and Tillman offer a rather unique situation at North Augusta. Both can play quarterback as well as play other positions on the field. The measurables are very similar, and both had flashes throwing the ball well in the individual workouts. They were explosive and had great touch in passing drills. It's safe to say both of these players will be on the field in a lot of ways for the Yellow Jackets this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1811040' first='Leonard' last='Pressley'] WR American Leadership

There were a lot of guys we circled before the combine started that we wanted to see and Pressley was one of them. He's got great length at 6-foot-2 with speed (4.94 40-yard dash) and twitch (4.56 pro shuttle). But we loved his toughness and willingness to compete. He caught one out pattern when he had to dive to the ground with a defender hanging on his back that likely would have drawn a flag in a real game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1732517' first='Jhais' last='Mckiever'] QB White Knoll

The Timberwolves used McKiever at quarterback last season and that's how he competed on Sunday. He more than held his own and threw the ball well on a lot of opportunities. But with his size and athleticism, he might play a different role on offense this coming season. He runs well and his 13 reps on the bench press showed some toughness and grit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1823525' first='De'Eric' last='Davis'] QB South Florence

Davis was a presence the moment he walked onto the field. First of all, he's a little bit over 6-foot-4 and 234 pounds with a 79.25 wingspan. But he was fast, strong and athletic. He's still raw because his playing time has been limited at this point but he's going to take the reins of the new offensive system and be given every chance to succeed.
