DORCHESTER | The Carolinas Coaches Combine stop in Woodland served a variety of purposes.

For starters, it was a showcase for a bunch of talented players. At the absolute minimum, it presented the first true look at competition against someone from a different team in several months.

The rising seniors had the opportunity to jump-start the closing stretch before their final season of high school football. The rising juniors got the chance to either reaffirm what we already knew or show us fun things to come. The rising sophomores? We'll get into that shortly.

For now, though, we're going to look at some Class of 2028 prospects who showed up to post some numbers and put in some good reps to potentially climb the rankings - and still with plenty of time remaining to build on that.

[player_tooltip player_id='1822040' first='Malachi' last='Graham'] WR, Marion

Graham showed up at 141 pounds and clocked a 4.71-second 40-yard dash, had a nice showing in the broad jump at 102 inches and tossed the medicine ball 36 feet.

[player_tooltip player_id='1825017' first='Trent' last='Singleton'] WR, Georgetown

Singleton has a nice wing span for his 5-foot-8 frame and showed some good quickness with his pro shuttle run, and he displayed the ability to go up and get the ball from his wide receiver position.

[player_tooltip player_id='1615100' first='Makhi' last='Shaw'] DB, Myrtle Beach

Shaw showed off a decent bit of quickness at 153 pounds with some good burst in both his vertical leap and broad jump, and he's got a good wing span for his height.

[player_tooltip player_id='1827471' first='Aaiden' last='Howell'] DB, Bluffton

Howell was another player who impressed with his quickness and fast-twitch ability, and he had assertive hands that showed a little more power than his frame might suggest.

[player_tooltip player_id='1816849' first='Brady' last='Whetzel'] DB, West Ashley

Whetzel stood out as one of the taller defensive backs, and he showed during drills that he has more agility and ability to change directions than his straight-line speed might suggest.

[player_tooltip player_id='1672909' first='Camden' last='DeBruhl'] QB, Myrtle Beach

DeBruhl has good height at a touch over 6-foot-2, and he showed both strength and a deft touch with his ability to get the ball downfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='1856905' first='North' last='Willis'] WR, West Florence

The 6-foot Willis posted a good time in the pro shuttle, and his broad jump and bench press numbers were both strong for his position group.

[player_tooltip player_id='1804680' first='Kevin' last='Sightler'] OL, Swansea

Sightler checked in at 288 pounds and showed during drills that he understands how to move his man where he needs him to be, and he also put up 20 reps at 185 pounds on the bench press.

[player_tooltip player_id='1645430' first='Alkaleb' last='Terrell'] LB, North Augusta

Terrell didn't get out and sprint, but the 180-pounder benched 185 17 times and also chucked the medicine ball 26 feet.

[player_tooltip player_id='1467849' first='Ryan' last='Jahn'] RB, Wando

Jahn posted a 4.71-second 40-yard dash at 154 pounds, and he also turned in solid numbers in the broad jump and pro shuttle.

[player_tooltip player_id='1704301' first='Tommy' last='Burns'] QB, South Aiken

Burns put the ball on the money during his positional drills, and in the combine setting he showed quickness on his feet in both a straight line and side-to-side.

[player_tooltip player_id='1646866' first='Isaiah' last='Brock'] LB, Oceanside Collegiate (pictured)

Brock is quick and has a good wing span for his frame, which didn't stop him from putting up 20 reps at 185 pounds on the bench press during the combine. He didn't let a rep go to waste.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610229' first='Keenen' last='Cunningham'] Lugoff-Elgin

Cunningham has the explosiveness in his lower body to post a good 40 time and broad jump, but he also displayed some power with his performance in the medicine ball throw.

[player_tooltip player_id='2098784' first='Allen' last='Chisholm'] LB, Porter-Gaud

Chisholm ran well to break five seconds in the 40-yard dash, posted a good time in the pro shuttle and had one of the better showings from his group in the medicine ball toss.

[player_tooltip player_id='1819541' first='Ky'Dre' last='Wright'] WR, North Augusta

Wright looked the part at 6-foot-1 and 212 pounds, running the 40 in 4.86 seconds while also showing off plenty of power while completing reps in the combine and the drills that followed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1816318' first='Sincere' last='Lewis'] RB, Goose Creek

Lewis had a good showing running the 40, with a quality vertical leap and pro shuttle time to complement that sprinting ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='1856841' first='Britton' last='Davis'] QB, Irmo

Davis showed a ton of physical gifts, running a 4.87-second 40 and benching 185 pounds 24 times. The 225-pounder had one of the better medicine ball throws, and his pro shuttle was impressive regardless of position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2098787' first='Jake' last='Grantham'] LB, Lucy Beckham

Grantham could be a quick riser in the rankings just from his ability to change directions quickly at 6 feet tall and 192 pounds, and he flashed a little bit of power to go with his agility.
