2 Minute Drill: Lockdown Defensive Backs

<p>There are several game scenarios critical to a player's success, and one of the most important is the two-minute drill. He's a versatile prospect who can line up at safety within the deep thirds, inside the box, or near the boundary. He is a reliable and consistent tackler in space when attacking downhill. Renick plays with a high motor and utilizes his athletic ability all over the field to chase down ball carriers and undercut routes. He's a physical, hard-hitting safety who can play in the deep thirds or line up inside the box, showcasing his scheme versatility. Simmons displays the ability to read and react effectively, as well as attack downhill with good foot speed and angles in pursuit. He'll garner more attention this fall. He can play the nickel and/or off-ball corner at the next level due to his athletic ability. Gillespie is a solid man-to-man corner who can run the opposition's routes. He can transition from zone effectively to make a tackle in space due to solid COD, burst, and technique. Brim displayed solid ability to be a press-man corner, with strong hand usage, fluid hip transition, and footwork.
