Your X profile is one of the first things a college coach will see and look for, and for a lot of players, it's the easiest way to get overlooked. Not because of talent or film, but because nothing is clear, organized, or easy to find. It's free and easy to set up your account if you follow the parameters below.

Right now, coaches aren't spending hours searching for players. They're scrolling, clicking, and making quick decisions. If your profile doesn't immediately tell them who you are, what position you play, and how to find your film, they're moving on. The good news is this: you don't need followers, graphics, or a big name to get noticed. You just need a profile that's clean, direct, and built for evaluation.

Here's how to set up your X profile so college coaches can find you, and actually take you seriously when they do.

Your @ name should be simple and easy to find.

Avoid:

Coaches aren't searching for “@AnkleBreaker24.” They're looking for real names.

Use something like:

The goal is simple: make it easy to find you and remember you.

This sounds basic, but it matters. First and Last name with a space between them, that's it.

If a coach can't quickly connect your profile to your film, you're already losing attention.

If your DMs are closed, coaches can't contact you easily.

Navigate to Settings and privacy > Privacy and safety > Direct Messages and select "Everyone" under the "Allow message requests from" section. (Be careful of spam messages)
