PRZ Duel in the DMV: 15U Champs Level82

In the 15u Bracket, Level 82 came away as Champs at the PRZ Duel in the DMV 7v7 Tournament this past weekend and did so with an 8-0 record. The won in an OT thriller against a very competitive Select Few team. The game was back & forth with big plays coming from both teams but Level82 got the job done with a defense that was showcased all weekend long. After going up in OT with a TD and conversion, Level82's DBs broke up Select Few's conversion attempt to secure the victory. Below I highlight a few of Lvl82's top performers on the weekend that helped lead the team to victory and stood out to me.

Austin split time for Level 82 at QB over the weekend, but played pretty much all the snaps in the championship game on Sunday. Making key throws including the game winning TD and XP conversion in OT. Austin showed really good pocket presence and footwork at QB. Get's his feet set and drives the ball with a quick smooth release. Able to get nice zip on the ball when needed to fit into tight windows or get touch on the pass towards the back corner of the end zone for his receivers to go make a play on the ball.

Austin was one of the top 15u QB performers all weekend long. He showed excellent ball skills and natural hands. Able to track the pass well and making leaping catches to secure the catch and then get his feet down in play. Quick and shifty in his route running, Austin was a consistent open receiver for his QBs leading to easy completions. He knows how to press vertical, stem his routes and make sharp breaks. Most effective out of the slot and was effective across all three passing levels. Austin has strong hands, able to pluck the ball out of the air and consistently catches it away from his body.
