Beautiful day here in Springfield, Missouri as the sun's out and the energy is high for some elite 7-on-7 action with Prep Redzone. We've got a loaded field today, and the talent at the 14U level is on full display—playmakers everywhere you look out on the field. Let's get it rolling and see who steps up and makes a name for themselves. Here are some day one standouts in Springfield:

[player_tooltip player_id='2068643' first='Brody' last='Miller'] - Class of 2029 - 5P Kufutbl (MO)

[player_tooltip player_id='2068643' first='Brody' last='Miller'] is in the class of 2029 and out of the Missouri area. He started off the day on a hot streak at 8a.m. making good reads and getting the ball out quickly. He has a good frame on him and kept getting better throughout the day throwing to multiple wide receivers. Brody showed good ball placement and never forced the ball into traffic putting his team in a bad situation. He finished throwing a couple of touchdowns on the day and throws a really good fade ball. With his frame, Brody showed off his strong arm throwing different types of routes.

Cameron Dale- Class of 2031 - Paramount (NE)

I came away really impressed with Cameron Dale especially when I found out he is in the class of 2031. I had the chance to watch him back in Oklahoma in the Prep Redzone 7 on 7 tourney and he was still impressive today. He was able to put the ball on target majority of the day and was able to hit his checkdowns if the read wasn't there. I also liked watching him play defense as he doesn't shy away and likes to play physical on wide receivers. It will be good to see him once he keeps developing coming into high school especially since he is still in 7th grade.

[player_tooltip player_id='1743328' first='Demitri' last='Miller']- Class of 2029 - 5P Kufutbl (MO)

I came away very impressed watching Demitri working the middle of the field. He has a big body that moves well and is able to control his body going in for the catch. He showed he was an important target for his quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='2068643' first='Brody' last='Miller']. Anytime his quarterback needed to make the next read Demitri is a valuable checkdown read to get the ball too. I also liked that Demitri has strong hands and is able to use his body to shield off the defender. Demitri had a solid showing today who showed he can work to get open.

[player_tooltip player_id='1623329' first='Wyatt' last='Adams'] - Class of 2029 - Paramount (NE)

[player_tooltip player_id='1623329' first='Wyatt' last='Adams'] was another athlete that I had the opportunity to watch back in Oklahoma last month. Wyatt has a good frame on him with long arms that helps him with his catch radius. He really uses his hands well tracking in the ball and shows good eye hand coordination. I also like that he plays on the defensive side of the ball and is a ball hawk. He breaks really well on the ball when the quarterback gets the ball out. He had solid coverage on the day and shows off how athletic he really is.

Prence Green- Class of 2029 - 5P Syzmik (MO)

Thoroughly impressed with Prence who shows that he can play on both sides of the ball with no issues. Prence was one of the better athletes on the day in the 14U age division that has really good ball skills. Prence is very athletic, long and has a good frame on him in which he plays safety and outside wide receiver. In a couple of the games that I watched him compete in today he had several interceptions to go along with a pair of touchdowns. Prence doesn't wait for the ball to come to him, he will go up and high point the ball on both sides and competes when the ball is in the air.

[player_tooltip player_id='2152954' first='Elijah' last='Preston']- Class of 2030 - Southeast (TN)

There are a lot of things that I like about [player_tooltip player_id='2152954' first='Elijah' last='Preston'] out of Tennessee but one of the intangibles that I liked are his leadership abilities. This was one of the first things that I noticed about Elijah but also to go along with that, his ability of tracking the ball on both sides of the ball was impressive. Elijah played at safety and was all over the field making plays with several interceptions on the day. He also plays at wide receiver who showed good body control and uses his hands well. Elijah will be one to keep an eye out for especially since he will be a freshman next season who is physically ready to play high school football.

[player_tooltip player_id='2138954' first='Zayden' last='Cross']- Class of 2029 - Warren Academy (NE)

[player_tooltip player_id='2138954' first='Zayden' last='Cross'] out of Warren Academy was a playmaker on the defensive side of the ball in which is where I liked to watch him compete. Zayden was a defensive back and could play out on an island, play zone and even man up while being fundamentally sound. Zayden has a fluid back pedal and a good first initial punch. I really liked watching him play physical and getting up in man press. He uses his hands to his advantage to feel where the wide receiver is to track him when the ball was in the air. Zayden had a good showing on day one and made an interception and several pass break ups.

[player_tooltip player_id='2139547' first='Cornelius' last='Washington'] - Class of 2029 - Warren Academy (NE)

What is there not to like about Cornleius Washington out of Warren Academy! Cornelius played slot receiver and ran good routes that helped him gain the separation he needed to get open. While running his routes, he does a good job in sinking his hips to get in and out of brakes. The thing that separates him from others is his ability to get open and what he can do with the ball in his hands after he catches it. He showed he has really good hands and ran all kinds of short to intermediate routes to show off his abilities.
