The Oregon West Conference delivered a competitive season in 4A, with multiple teams battling throughout league play and several programs reaching the state playoff bracket. Junction City ultimately claimed the league title and advanced to the quarterfinals, where it gave eventual state champion Cascade a competitive game. Sweet Home and Marist Catholic also earned playoff appearances, showing the depth across the conference, while Crescent Valley competed well. While many of the conference's biggest contributors were experienced upperclassmen, a number of underclassmen stepped into key roles and earned postseason recognition. These players represent the next wave of talent poised to shape the Oregon West Conference in the coming seasons.

First Team

Dietmeyer emerged as one of the top young playmakers in the conference, earning first-team honors for his work at receiver while also contributing defensively. He showed strong hands and the ability to make plays downfield, giving the Marist offense an explosive option in the passing game. His versatility was also evident with contributions in the secondary, highlighting his athleticism and football awareness. With two more seasons ahead, Dietmeyer has the potential to become one of the premier skill players in the Oregon West.

Second Team

Bayless earned recognition as an outside linebacker thanks to his ability to make plays across the field. His athleticism allows him to pursue ball carriers and contribute in both run defense and pass coverage. For a sophomore, his awareness and range stood out when matched against experienced offenses. Bayless projects as a versatile defender with room to grow over the next two seasons.

Barringer helped provide balance to Sweet Home's offense, showing the ability to grind out yards while also creating opportunities in open space. His running style combines patience with physicality, allowing him to consistently move the chains. For a sophomore, his ability to handle carries against varsity defenses stood out. Barringer should remain a key part of Sweet Home's offensive attack moving forward.

Cheney made his presence felt on the defensive line with a strong sophomore season for Marist Catholic. His ability to disrupt blocking schemes and pressure the backfield helped anchor the defensive front. Playing in the trenches requires toughness and consistency, both traits Cheney displayed throughout the season. He has the potential to develop into one of the more impactful defensive linemen in the conference.

Seumalo showed strong potential along the interior offensive line, earning second-team honors as a guard. He plays with physicality and a willingness to engage defenders at the point of attack. His ability to help open running lanes and maintain blocks made him a valuable part of Crescent Valley's offensive front. As he continues to grow and add strength, Seumalo's impact up front should only increase.

Woolley earned second-team recognition after anchoring the offensive line from the center position. Centers are responsible for controlling the interior, and Woolley demonstrated the maturity needed to handle that responsibility early in his career. His ability to compete against experienced defensive linemen was impressive for a sophomore. With continued development, he could become a cornerstone lineman for Crescent Valley.

Campbell's second-team selection as a freshman speaks to the strong impression he made at the varsity level. Playing inside linebacker requires instincts and toughness, and Campbell showed both while competing against older players. His ability to find the ball and contribute defensively suggests a high ceiling. With three seasons ahead, he could become a centerpiece of Crescent Valley's defense.

Honorable Mention

Stephens contributed on both sides of the ball, showcasing the versatility that coaches value in young players. His ability to impact the game as both a receiver and defensive back speaks to his athletic ability and competitive mindset. Players who can fill multiple roles often become key pieces for their teams. Stephens has the tools to grow into a major contributor moving forward.

Cruz helped anchor the offensive line at tackle for Sweet Home and earned honorable mention recognition for his efforts. Tackles are responsible for handling some of the defense's best pass rushers. Cruz showed the competitiveness needed to compete in those matchups. With continued development, he could become a key piece of Sweet Home's offensive front.

Kokkeler earned honorable mention recognition for his work along the offensive line, specifically at center. His role requires leadership and communication with the rest of the line, responsibilities he handled well as a sophomore. Competing in the trenches against older defenders is never easy, but Kokkeler showed the toughness required. Continued development should help him become an even more consistent presence up front.

Mitchell contributed along the offensive line at tackle, helping Crescent Valley compete against strong defensive fronts. His ability to hold the edge and provide protection earned him postseason recognition. Offensive linemen often develop significantly as they gain experience, and Mitchell's sophomore season provides a strong starting point. Expect him to take on an even larger role moving forward.

Williams gained valuable experience as a freshman quarterback, a difficult position for any young player at the varsity level. His inclusion on the honorable mention list highlights the promise he showed leading the offense. Quarterbacks often make their biggest leaps after their first season of experience, and Williams now has that foundation.
