When I cannot tell on film whether the linebacker is constantly sent on a blitz or he is just reading his keys so quickly and clearly, you know you have a good one. Jackson Townships newly unified school had just that in linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1922150' first='Aidan' last='Chornobroff']. In addition to being quick and immediate in run defense, he quickly bails and gets to his spot quickly in pass coverage. What Chornobroff may do best, however, is navigate through the teeth of the trenches and through the formation to make big stops.

Sound fundamentals for defensive line play are guilty pleasure of mine. In [player_tooltip player_id='1921587' first='Anthony' last='Valera'], Ridge had a prospect that gets his hands on everything in front of him. In addition to checking that box, Valera did a great job of stepping and squeezing, disrupting the path of the down blocker headed toward the second level. I would consider Valera a strong tackler who plays with very good pad level and leverage. Because he can recognize the inside gap and attack the weak shoulder, he is hard to contain and constantly disruptive, creating bubbles along the offensive line. He also has shown good bull rushes, turning speed into power, and getting his hands above his eyes. A smaller guy, Valera is gritty, tough, and well-coached.

Heading down south to the home of the Indianapolis Colts' Jonathan Taylor, [player_tooltip player_id='2048350' first='Antwuan' last='Rogers'] might be the next best thing since the Salem-native left to go to Wisconsin. Rogers throws violent rips and seems to pass rush with a plan. His violent nature continues in pursue, tomahawking the ball as he chases ball carriers; however, whether rushing or defending the run, ball disruption is Rogers' priority. Playing with disciplined abandon, we see that he knows when to trace back when either the quarterback steps up in the pocket or against screen/draw. Lastly, Rogers has shown some ability to bend off the edge, dipping his shoulder low, while having the length to effectively play surf technique. In my opinion, Rogers has high-potential prospect upside.

For the second year in a row Dwight-Morrow has a dynamic primary option that excites me. [player_tooltip player_id='1540931' first='Arieyon' last='Williams'] is their 2026 rendition. A hard runner, Williams gets into the open field in a hurry. However, what enables himself to spring loose are his dramatically-sharp cuts. On film it looks as though Williams moves at a difference speed than everybody else, as shown on one clip where he was able to run up the middle 15 yards before split safeties were able to converge on him. Along the edges of a defense he is able to create for himself, while remaining squirmy and hard to take down with his balance and against poor tackling.
