Film Study: Tight Ends Who Elevated Their Game This Season

Injuries caused him to miss 5 games. He has great size (6'5") and strength. He is an elite blocker as a tight end. He is excellent at blocking on the edge and dominating edge defenders. He also shows a good ability to wham block. This requires him to move and block defensive players. As a receiver, he had limited opportunities, but there is no reason why he cannot be a good receiver. He has the size and hands to be a target next season. He needs the opportunity, and I expect he will get it next season as a receiver along with his elite blocking. In the last few months, he got offers from the Air Force and Kent State. His ability to run after the catch is evident in his film. He is excellent at catching the ball and making defenders miss in the open field. Holler also shows good body control when catching the ball between defenders. He shows wide receiver skills in a tight end's body. Then, as a blocker, he is good as well. He does a good job of down-blocking defensive linemen. He also showed excellent skills as an edge defender. He also showed a good ability to pull and kick out defenders. Then, as a receiver, he showed good play ability. His ability to run deep crossing routes and posts downfield is impressive. His speed and ability to catch the ball on these routes are excellent. He has good size (6'4) and good athleticism. He is a match-up nightmare in the passing game. It's because he is such a good player after the catch. Several times in his film, he caught short passes and made big plays afterwards. He also showed good body control as he went up and out jump defenders for big catches. Ryan also lined up all over the field. He played at every wide receiver position and as a tight end. He also showed a good ability to block. He was good at blocking defenders on the edge.
