Our Winter rankings update pinpointed even more players from the 2027, 2028 and 2029 classes who have stood out in their respective positions. For a variety of reasons, our team decided that each of those new additions were worthy of a coveted spot in our rankings.

But as you've discovered by following along, we're nowhere near done.

As we traverse the offseason, we're also seeing a changing of the guard. And, as such, PRZ South Carolina is constantly looking at as many of the 10,000 or so prep football players in the SCHSL and SCISA ranks as possible.

Now, the Community Film Room is back.

In each edition, we'll break down five unranked players from across the state to let you see what we're seeing. The series will lead right into the the start of the spring rankings cycle, the ever-growing importance of the summer program schedules and then the 2026 season.

In Episode 73, we've got eyes on a 2029 people mover of a lineman, a versatile free safety from the Catawba River Region, a perfect complementary receiver from a dynasty, the apparent next big linebacker from a school known to produce them and another defensive back already getting some college love.

Logan gave us every indication that his star was set to rise in 2025, when he put up 71 tackles and a pair of interceptions for the Bruins. He's every bit of a true hybrid defensive back who rarely starts in the same place pre-snap on back-to-back plays.

In occasional coverage, Logan has the length to stay with receivers and tight ends, not to mention spy a tailback splitting out wide. As a back-end safety, he can handle the sidelines and disrupt passing lanes to a multitude of would-be pass catchers.

And when he takes the look of a strong safety, Logan has no issue taking on offensive linemen to get to the ball carrier. Following some graduations, Logan is the new leader of a defense that is anything but devoid of talent.

Pic in system

We don't want to shock you here, but another crop of Daniel linebackers on their way out the door already have replacements at the position lined up and ready to go. In Pounds, it just took him a bit longer to realize he wasn't a receiver.

In his first season focusing on defense, Pounds backed up the staff's notion of what he could be by putting up 45 tackles, two tackles for loss, an interception and a fumble recovery. A lopsided bulk of that production came late in the year, especially after Pounds took over a starting job for the Lions' two playoff games.

His natural instincts really started to shine with the additional rhythm, and he'll enter the 2026 as a presumed starter. As such, his next two seasons should be chock full of numbers as he helps Daniel navigate its way back in Class 3A.

Anyone who was paying attention to the Landsharks' offense during a third straight state championship run last fall noticed how much quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1094944' first='Aiden' last='Manavian'] spread the ball around. And while the school benefited from a big-name transfer at the receiver position this offseason, Webb is proof of how stacked Oceanside is in terms of pass catchers.

As a junior, he hauled in 37 receptions for 533 yards and four touchdowns. And how consistent he was down the stretch run was an overwhelming fact for opposing defensive coordinators. From Halloween on, Webb caught 21 of those passes and three of his touchdowns.

It was every bit of a product of defenses trying to slow down the top two receivers, only to find Webb was equally capable of keeping this offense moving with so much as a hitch. Webb is almost assuredly going to be in the team's WR3 spot in 2026, but we already know he's still going to get his targets.

For a free safety who failed to pick off a pass, Reeder showed he could still have a major impact in the pass defense for the Cougars in other ways. For starters, he broke up six passes during his junior season. More importantly, his reaction time to underneath passes limited the opposing production on more than a handful of plays.

We mention that all first because it's not even the best part of his game. That same pursuit ability he displayed in the passing game was even more vital as a run stopper. Reeder is tall enough to see the play developing before it got to the climax and get into position.

It's why he finished with 77 tackles last fall, and it's similarly why he was able to contribute on special teams (and we're not just talking about his occasional kicking duties). He increased his own potential by doing things like serving as the outside gunner on kickoffs and on opposing field goals, where he blocked one as a junior.

Any time a freshman make the official all-state team, even as an honorable mention, we're going to take notice. You should pay close attention to Little over the next three seasons, as well.

While playing left guard last fall, Little put his massive frame up against some much more polished counterparts and found ways to make a different in the Gators' ball-control offense. He gets a great push after initial contact, so much so that we've seen him turn a few of those pretty good defensive linemen into looking like they're on skates.

He isn't anywhere close to where he's eventually going to end up - we'd love to see more development in his pass blocking - but the signs are all there that Little is a name to remember heading into next fall.
