These combine settings are not the best for the big fellas to show up and show out necessarily, but there are ways to make a strong impression. Great measurables from height/weight to wingspan, and every once in a while you will see some freakish athletes post great testing numbers. What is most important is getting to watch the big fellas move and go through the drills. Do they look comfortable? Can they bend, change pad level, change direction? Essentially we are looking for that natural athleticism while carrying their larger frames. So who stood out most from the day? Let's dive into the OL/DL.

The Class of 2028 DL is already so impressively talented and deep. Braeden showed on Sunday that he is going to be one to include in that top tier group. The sophomore checked in at an elite 6'4" 232 lbs with an insane 6'8" wingspan and 10" hands. The kid is massive, yet carries that 232 lbs with ease. That tells me there is room to grow, opening up position versatility along the DL. The 2028 also tested really well at that size. He ran a 5.19 40, 29.9" vertical, 4.76 shuttle, and board jumped just over 9'. The kid is just starting to tap into what he could become. Get this kid on your radar today. He is going to be one of the better recruits in the entire Class of 2028.

Easton was an intriguing OL prospect. He will have to dedicate time to filling out his frame at the next level, but the traits are there to grab your attention and build on. Easton checked in just a hair under 6'4" and 247 lbs. The '28 lineman holds the weight really well. Also very noteworthy is the big man has just under a 6'8" wingspan and just over 10" hands. All metrics that tell me the sophomore might not be done growing yet. The '28 is still learning how to efficiently move at that size, but things are starting to come together for him. He ran a 5.77 40, jumped 7'9" in the broad, and hit a 5.2 shuttle.

The White Bear Lake junior was a MN DL who quickly had my attention with how explosive he could move. So much so that I went to go check out his tape and was very pleased to see how well his solid testing day translated to the field where he was quick off the snap and agile through gaps while fighting off OL. Croix checked in at 5'11" 241 lbs with a 6'1" wingspan. The '27 ran a 5.03 40, 4.63 shuttle, jumped 8'2" and 28.5". Croix is a disruptive athlete on the interior of the WBL DL and worth a look.

It was great to see both Meulemans in person again. The two put together impressive showings. It was impressive to see how the two differed. Zac led the way in the agility categories. A pair of 8.25 L-Drills, 5.25 shuttle, and 8'2" broad along with a 5.42 40 highlighted his day. Zac checked in at 6'1" 235 lbs with just under a 6'3" wingspan. The sophomore will be one to watch develop over the coming year. He already has earned valuable varsity playing time, so look for him to take that next step.

Ty led the way in the jumps and the long speed compared to his brother Zac. Ty hit the scales at 6'2" 232 lbs with just shy of a 6'3" wingspan. He ran a 5.25 40, jumped a 26.6 vertical and an 8'3" broad, and his top agility test was a 5.25 shuttle time. I noted that Ty looked to be the more fluid of athlete on the day, so it was good to see the numbers match that. Make sure you don't overlook the 2028 rising DL.

One of the most impressive athletes just walking around the event was Pulaski's [player_tooltip player_id='1918328' first='Parker' last='Macrae']. The sophomore checked in at 6'4" 265 lbs with a 6'7" wingspan and 9" hands. Parker is another one of those young guys who has grown so quickly that he is still getting comfortable in his frame, but that hasn't hindered his power on tape. The athleticism is on the way though. The sophomore posted a 5.69 40, 5.22 shuttle, and jumped 7'7.5" in the broad. Keep or get this kid on your radars early on.

Another impressive Minnesota DL was [player_tooltip player_id='1454217' first='KJ' last='Staples'] of Elk River. KJ came in at 5'10" 255 lbs with a 6'4.25" wingspan, and over 10" hands. That hand size and length are great indicators that KJ could be on his way towards growing into an elite frame. The freshman put on a great display of testing too. He ran a 5.5 40, jumped a 33" vertical, hit 4.94 on the shuttle, and broad jumped 8'6". These athletic tools paired with his length and future growth could have the impressive 2029 on a path towards being a Need to Know prospect.

Avant is an interesting DL/Edge recruit. I have been able to see the junior live a few times. While he is undersized for the position the kid just finds a way to win and impact games. He used his time in Eau Claire well, putting on a solid display of his overall athletic package. He checked in just shy of 6'1" and is now closing in on 210 lbs. Avant ran a 5 flat 40, jumped 29.8" in the vertical, had a 4.76 shuttle, and hit 9' on the broad jump. This is a big summer for the junior, and I'm excited for him to show he is a mismatch at camps with 1 on 1 sessions.

We wrap up the lineman group with the All Conference OL out of West Salem. Will Clements checked in at just 6'1" 285 lbs with 9" hands and nearly a 6'3" wingspan. Clements has built his game around the power he has built into that frame, so it was great to see a different side of him and watch him move in space as he went through all the tests. Will finished the day with a 5.94 40, 5.13 shuttle, and a 7'3" broad jump. Power will be his best ability in the trenches, but he proved he can move pretty well in those short ranges. Get your eyes on the junior OL.
