Updated: Washington 2029 Rankings (21-45)

With the athletes still being so young, it's almost impossible to put a numerical ranking next to their name at this point. Here we will breakdown the top freshman in the state of Washington with groups representing #1-20, #21-45, and a Watch List as referenced below with honorable mention selections.          On the actual rankings board, you will see a number next to each athlete's name, but that is very general in nature and will likely adjust a great deal in the coming months. This list was put together in collaboration with Andrew Nemec. A lot of eyes will be on Walker with a bunch of talent returning.    As a freshman Walker stepped up for one of the top 4A teams in the state, making 15 tackles with 5 TFL's and 3 sacks. He has elite size for his age group and played beyond his years.    22.[player_tooltip player_id='2079669' first='Toa' last='Haertling'] 5-11 205 LB/RB Southridge  WA   UPDATED: Haertling was exceptional as a freshman doing a little bit of everything for a 6-5 Suns team. Defensively he was a team leader as a 9th grader which is extremely rare, making 65 tackles with 4 sacks at the varsity level. He also rushed 19 times for 114 yards and 2 TDs.    23.[player_tooltip player_id='1557945' first='Cordae' last='Norling'] 6-1 160 QB Cascade Christian WA   UPDATED: Norling was a 1st team all-conference selection throwing for close to 2000 yards with 21 TDs/6 INTs on 75% passing. To do what he did as a freshman is eye opening. Look for him to continue and excel as part of HEIR Academy.    24.[player_tooltip player_id='2079657' first='CJ' last='Leiato'] 6-0 275 OL Auburn Riverside  WA   UPDATED: If we are talking projection it all comes down to size. From a pure talent standpoint, he's one of the best lineman in the state.    This kid was a beast on the interior as a 9th grader. Leiato has elite strength for his age racking up 2nd team all-conference honors on the O line, and adding 7 tackles, 2 TFL's, and a sack on D.    25.[player_tooltip player_id='1803047' first='Timothy' last='Woodard'] Jr. 6-1 160 ATH Emerald Ridge WA   UPDATED: You have to like the size as a freshman and what he did for a young Jags team. Woodard Jr. caught 12 passes for 74 yards and a TD. Sky's the limit.    26.[player_tooltip player_id='1583872' first='Christian' last='Pulu'] 5-11 295 OL Eastside Catholic WA   UPDATED: Pulu earned honorable mention all-conference honors as a freshman for one of the top 3A programs in the state. His projection will depend on continued growth, but the kid can play.    27.[player_tooltip player_id='1865137' first='Dom' last='Kelly'] 5-10 140 CB Lindbergh WA   UPDATED: Kelly was a 2nd team all-conference DB and honorable mention WR, garnering respect from all within the KingCo. He should be considered one of the best overall athletes in the state.    28.[player_tooltip player_id='2133901' first='Jalen' last='Amoroso'] 5-11 165 DB W.F West WA   UPDATED: Just a super talented overall athlete. Amoroso earned 2nd team all-conference honors at DB as a 9th grader and will be a POY candidate in the years ahead.    [player_tooltip player_id='2133896' first='Xavier' last='Wise'] 5-10 155 WR Bonney Lake WA   UPDATED: One of the breakout underclassmen in the SPSL. Wise averaged 10 yards per catch earning 2nd team all-league honors at the 4A level as a freshman.    30.[player_tooltip player_id='2079660' first='Corbin' last='Williams'] 6-4 205 TE Emerald Ridge WA   UPDATED: There isn't necessarily a lot known about Williams yet but his elite size and projection at TE make him a noteworthy prospect. On the season he caught 3 passes for 45 yards a TD.    31.[player_tooltip player_id='1557952' first='Allias' last='Moimoi'] 5-10 170 QB O'Dea WA   UPDATED: An honorable mention all-conference pick at QB as a freshman for the 3A state champs. Not a bad way to start a career. The kid can play.    32.[player_tooltip player_id='1397382' first='Damari'ae' last='Barrington'] 5-10 190 RB Spanaway Lake WA   Spanaway had a decent year in a tough conference going 4-6, with the freshman Barrington getting 50+ carries for the team. Look for his name to get out next season.    33.[player_tooltip player_id='2079672' first='Porter' last='Rhode'] 5-11 170 S/WR Garfield WA   UPDATED: One of the only athletes in the region to earn all-conference honors on both sides of the ball as a freshman. He is a bright light for a Garfield program that has struggled.    34.[player_tooltip player_id='2090603' first='Logan' last='Christie'] 6-3 185 Skyview WA    UPDATED: Look for Christie to contribute as a sophomore for what is typically one of the better 4A schools in WA. His length and overall play on the 7v7 circuit for Team Lillard has helped bump his stock.    35.[player_tooltip player_id='2137865' first='Karter' last='Bringedahl'] 6-0 180 Safety Lake Stevens WA   UPDATED: The freshman made 7 tackles with a pick for one of the top programs in the NW. Look for Bringedahl to be a big reason if Lake Stevens returns to the state title game in the years ahead.   36.[player_tooltip player_id='2135985' first='Keean' last='Kessel'] 5-11 155 ATH Union WA   UPDATED: Expect Union to come back in a big way over the next couple years with guys like Kessel leading. As a freshman he averaged 17 yards per catch with a TD on Varsity, while also scoring a handful of touchdowns at the lower level.    37.[player_tooltip player_id='2044894' first='Elijah' last='Wimberly'] 5-10 160 DB Highline WA   UPDATED: Wimberly has limited film but backed up his play on the field by earning honorable mention all-conference honors for a Highline team that went 1-8. As of right now, he's definitely an under-the radar athlete.    38.[player_tooltip player_id='2137854' first='Ryder' last='Cate'] 6-2 210 LB Puyallup WA   UPDATED: The baseball standout could be one of the top defenders in the state if he pursued that route. Regardless he is an outstanding 3-sport athlete.   39.[player_tooltip player_id='2134031' first='Dayton' last='Morris'] 5-10 185 Woodland WA   UPDATED: Morris had a 2nd team all-conference season at RB, averaging 6 yards per carry with 4 TD's. He will be one of the best at the 2A level. 35.[player_tooltip player_id='2120118' first='Tucker' last='Lumby'] 6-4 205 TE Prairie WA   40.[player_tooltip player_id='2134037' first='Axel' last='Avenstam'] 6-2 190 OLB/DE Mercer Island WA   UPDATED: One of only two freshman in the Kingco Mountain Conference to earn all-league honors. Avenstam garnered 2nd team all league accolades, finishing with 37 tackles on the year.    41.[player_tooltip player_id='1397565' first='Colton' last='Yates'] 6-2 320 C Puyallup WA   UPDATED: Definitely a kid that works. Yates started every game as a freshman at Cascade Christian allowing zero sacks. He makes the move to 4A power Puyallup where the talent level will be completely different.    42.[player_tooltip player_id='2137837' first='Harrison' last='Hamblen'] 6-0 170 WR Anacortes WA   UPDATED: Hamblen will be a big part of the future for an Anacortes program which has shown itself to be one of the best in Washington at the 2A level. He averaged 8 yards per carry with a couple TD's on the year at the varsity level.    43.[player_tooltip player_id='2137861' first='Lazarus' last='Kinchen'] 5-9 145 ATH Graham Kapowsin WA   UPDATED: Kinchen got in the mix as a freshman for one of the top teams in the NW, catching 3 passes with a TD for the season. Look for him to be a go-to target in the years ahead.    44.[player_tooltip player_id='2137874' first='Mason' last='Halsell'] 6-4 190 DE/TE Eastside Catholic WA   UPDATED: There is still a lot yet to be determined here, but Halsell has phenomenal size and will be playing with and learning from one of the top prospects in America in [player_tooltip player_id='1003593' first='Tytan' last='McNeal'].    45.[player_tooltip player_id='2137879' first='Talan' last='Brody'] 5-11 185 WLB/ATH Camas WA   UPDATED: As most know Talan comes from a super impressive family who has done well at Camas. He has decent size and could be more of a defensive guy. He is one to watch this year.
