Team Elite All The Smoke Dominates First PRZ 7v7 FL Event

Enjoy!</strong></em></strong></em></strong></em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Redzone 7v7 Circuit made our first ever stop in The Sunshine State this weekend as The Central Florida Charge tourney took place at The Villages Charter School. We had over 50 teams from 18U down to 10U and the action was outstanding from start to finish. They lived up to their name in a major way as they were certainly elite and they truly wanted all the smoke. That program ended up walking away with championships in four out of the five divisions. They won it all in 18U, 14U, 12U and 10U on Sunday. Underdog Mentality would capture the 15U championship. All five champions from this weekend's event in central Florida automatically earn a free bid to the Prep Redzone National Championship tournament in Atlanta the final weekend in April. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>They got their "Championship Sunday" started in the morning with the 10U title. The program had two teams in the division and the lower seeded squad ended up taking the crown. After going 1-2 on Saturday and coming into bracket play as the 4 seed, they won three straight games, including a 17-11 win over 24K Black. They scored the go-ahead touchdown in the final minutes as quarterback Blake Nixon hit wide receiver Marty Mathews in the back of the end zone for the score.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the 12U championship game, All The Smoke came in as the 2 seed and would knock off top-seeded Team Showtime 19-18 in overtime to win that division. For the weekend, the 12U squad went 6-0 and had multiple players making clutch plays in that championship game to come away with the title.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Two hours later, it was the 14U team's turn to take center stage in the championship game. And this was a squad that could simply not be stopped all weekend. They lit up the scoreboard on both days and knocked off Tampa Flex in a back and forth championship game. Quarterback Jace Vorlicky was surgical at the QB position. He moved this offense down the field on nearly every single possession in the tournament. He had plenty of playmakers around him but he was directing this offense to perfection. Caleb Jones was one of his top targets and there was no doubt after watching him this weekend that he was not only one of the top wide receivers in the 14U division but one of the top overall players. Other playmakers like Christian Callier, Lorenzo Albaladejo and Roman Segura stood out in different moments that ended with this program capturing another championship. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>And finally, in another title game that went to overtime, it was Team Elite All The Smoke knocking off STP Elite in a match-up featuring the top two seeds in the 18U division. All The Smoke would prevail 28-22 and they had several players standing out from start to finish. Quarterback Chance Houston did a great job of distributing the ball to the playmakers around him. We didn't see the ball hit the turf very often when Houston was slinging it. Wide receiver Carlos Lemons came into the tournament as one of the better prospects for the next level and that certainly stood out. Shifty wide receiver Jaydon Page was dominant after the catch during pool play games on Saturday. And WR/DB [player_tooltip player_id='2132036' first='Demirius' last='Feet'] not only made plays on both sides of the ball but he brought the energy from start to finish. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
