Mokan put on a great 7v7 event and I can't thank them enough for allowing myself and PrepRedzone to attend a very well organized tournament. On that note it's all about these young athletes, specifically the quarterbacks in this article. Patterson took a very surgical approach last weekend by just giving whatever the defense gives him. he always made the right decision, and never put his offense in a tough situation. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Patterson has good size and showed off a highly functional arm, he reads the defense very well showing off his high football IQ. I must admit I wasn't familiar with this young man before this past tournament, but after his performance, he has made me a huge fan. Smith showed that he can make every throw in his very deep bag of passes. So when I saw him take snaps from off the 7v7 bench, I had to see what this young man had throwing the football. Long story short the 15u athlete was great distributing the football. Afterwards I caught up with him on the sideline and he let me know that he had a knee injury, and while he can't move laterally enough to play his regular linebacker position, he decided that he would help his team out by playing quarterback. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>That is what I want from a football player a kid that just loves the game, and has all the athletic ability in the world to play multiple positions. It appears he has built on his impressive 9th grade year, and absolutely delivered a dominating performance at this tournament. Also while playing up for the 18U squad, the 15 year old Hart showed the maturity and IQ to hang with the older boys. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'm going to keep a very close eye on Hart this upcoming season. He stands tall in the imaginary 7v7 pocket and time after time he delivered great passes to his terrific wide receiver core.
