PRZVA Duel in the DMV Preview: Valley Elite 18U

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Excited to cover our next 7v7 circuit with the Duel in the DMV kicking off in Gainesville. I will be bring team previews for you and will be on site both days for coverage. First up is Valley Elite 18U which is a squad of Florida, Virginia and West Virginia prospects. I really like the make up of their 18U roster and think they will do well this weekend, here are some players to watch:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1161083' first='Phillip' last='Shields']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Talented rising senior out of Washington High School in Charles Town, West Virginia [player_tooltip player_id='1161083' first='Phillip' last='Shields'] pops out on tape. He had nearly 1,000 total yards this past season with 630 of them coming on the ground. Shields future looks to be at corner and I would expect him to lock up with top tier wideouts all weekend. He will be fun to watch as he appeared to do everything for this team last fall, including 5 touchdowns. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1666303' first='Reth' last='Puller']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1666303' first='Reth' last='Puller'] should make some noise this weekend, playing for Sheranado last season, he is 6'0 and 152 lbs. Looks like a dominant corner who had 4 interceptions as a junior, Puller with a big outing could attract some college coaches. A multi sport athlete for the Warriors, I would expect him to snag a couple picks this Saturday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1592803' first='Carter' last='Hubbell']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another West Virginia product is 2027 wideout [player_tooltip player_id='1592803' first='Carter' last='Hubbell'], he is currently on West Virginia Rankings watchlist. Healthy and ready to go, Hubbell has good size and a frame no reason not to believe he cannot have an impactful senior campaign.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2136782' first='Braylon' last='Young-Holmes']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Really looking forward to watching Jefferson County product [player_tooltip player_id='862698' first='Braylon' last='Holmes'] throw the football. If you are not aware he will show you, standing at 6'3 and 215 lbs., and ranks 48th overall in West Virginia 2027 class. Love the way he makes plays in the pocket with both his rocket arm and his legs, Holmes is also a good pass rusher. He is a big physical presence at linebacker who notched over 100 tackles as a sophomore. Love the way he reads and reacts to the ball carrier, I will be ranking him in the next Virginia 2028 update. He will be tough for quarterbacks to throw over the middle, he has great range and can move very well laterally. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><br>[player_tooltip player_id='2138439' first='Makari' last='Robinson']</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There is not a ton of tape on Warren County's [player_tooltip player_id='2138439' first='Makari' last='Robinson'], but I have been told to expect big things. He too is a multi sport athlete, and depending how he does at the Duel in the DMV, he might get consideration for our next 2029 Rankings update.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
