WINTER PARK – It will be a date and time that over 50 Florida high school football prospects, their families and several coaches will long remember.

On the first day of February, the Prep Redzone Stock Up event returned to Showalter Field north of Orlando for a makeup date when the mid-January combine was cancelled due to inclement weather.

While the first event attracted well over 100 impressive football players from all over the state – in addition to others who came in on a holiday weekend – Sunday's makeup date was met with temperatures that the Sunshine State had not seen in well over decades – and in some cases – well over 40 years.

With reading of 26 degrees and a windchill well into the low teens, the order of the day was still all about football, and for those who braved to bone-chilling cold, it was a day that many will look back on and recall how so many got better, and in the process put their names out for all to see.

“You have to be impressed with a group like this that came out and got better – even in those cold conditions,” said recruiting specialist Drew Johnson. “These young men have such a busy schedule, so for them to fit this makeup date in, that shows how dedicated and how much they understand what Prep Redzone Florida does for the student/athletes.”

In addition to the players and their parents, the event was also attended by nationally recognized recruiting and football icons John Garcia (ProspeX Media) and Alex Donno, who not only hosts the popular Locked On Canes podcast, but is a longtime Miami Hurricane postgame host.

MVP'S WORKED HARD

Everyone knows that throwing the ball, running or defending in colder conditions is never ideal, but several came out to turn heads with college coaches leading the way.

While there were so many valuable players, here some who were recognized:

OFFENSE

Quarterback

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2102781' first='Christian' last='Garrett'], 6'2, 205, Brooksville Nature Coast. This former Hudson High School standout transferred for his senior season. Garrett recorded 1,381 total yards and 12 total touchdowns during the 2025 season. He was on top of his game on Sunday.

Running Back

2027 – Omari Hill, Athlete, 6'1, 180, The Villages. Not only did he win he MVP of the camp at the running back position, but this is someone who truly led his team all season as a receiver as well. Made an impact in the regular season with 481 yards on 19 receptions with 5 touchdowns (37.5 yards per catch).

Receiver

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2105940' first='Jayson' last='Vasquez'], 6'2, 200, Groveland South Lake – 3.8 GPA. Talk about versatile, this is someone who could have probably won the MVP at several positions as he showed for veteran head coach Brad Lord and his Eagles with 1 touchdown, 97 total tackles, 16 tackles for loss, nine sacks, 11 hurries, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries on defense as a linebacker, but as a receiver had 66 receptions!

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2109932' first='Dion' last='Brown'], 6'2, 300, St. Cloud Harmony – 3.0 GPA. There wasn't a week during the season that he didn't grade out as one of the game's top players for the Longhorns, and on Sunday, he definitely brought his “A” game in drills and competition.

Defensive Backs

2028 – J.D. Loveless, 5'11, 170, Orlando The First Academy. If you are looking for yet another reason to be impressed with the Royals for the 2026 season, this versatile (receiver) football player gave a glimpse of why he is so special and will be worth watching for the next two years for this program. Had a very good performance on Sunday and the coaches left impressed.

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2103806' first='Danilo' last='Faria'], 6'1, 178, Land O'Lakes. Following in the footsteps of his older brother, this is one of those quality talents who stepped up as he made his way from north of Tampa to compete and showcase some of skills. Solid testing and performing day. College coaches need to keep an eye on his progress. This is someone who has the chance to be very special.

Linebackers

2030 – [player_tooltip player_id='2104272' first='Landon' last='Hall'], 5'6, 155, Coconut Creek Monarch. Remember this name over the next five years because this current eighth grader will head to play for the Knights and has already started to turn heads with his play. On Sunday, the coaches were truly surprised at the potential he showed – and as he matures – he has a chance to be special.

2027 – [player_tooltip player_id='2107923' first='Easton' last='Wolfgramm'], 5'11, 165, Belle Isle Cornerstone Charter – 4.0 GPA. Another of the versatile talent that came out. While he took home one of the MVP awards at the linebacker position, he also plays safety. This past season, he had 73 total tackles (48 Solo), five tackles for loss, two passes defensed, one caused fumbles, one fumble recovery, two QB Hurries and four sacks. Looked very good on Sunday as well.

Defensive Lineman

2027 – Orien Sillito, 6'0, 235, St. Petersburg Northeast. The Vikings have someone special at a position that will be vital for their success in 2026.
