Prep Redzone Houston Showcase: MVPs of the Day

Throughout the day many players showed their value but a few went above and behind, earning the honors of Camp MVPs. Smooth delivery with a beautiful touch on his ball, Lattelle has complete command of his throws. He was on the money all day making throws at all levels and showing great leadership combined with a cool demeanor. He is physically gifted and has great wiggle in his game. Johnson is a tank who fights through contact and is an excellent option out of the backfield which he showed today. Cannot wait to see what he does with the pads on. From the start he was a standout, testing very well and then showing his skill in group work. He is a strong route runner who can create separation with his quickness and come down with contested catches. He showed physicality and most importantly, listened to what was being taught. He has an excellent frame at 6'5-6'6 with an incredible reach. Powers definitely got better today and will continue to grow into an absolute force. He got some work in as both an o-lineman and d-lineman, winning just about every rep showing his talent. The recent U of H commit had the entire staff's attention, putting up some great numbers in testing, leading the way in drill work, and even helping those in his group. Cook showed strong leadership traits and the skill could not be matched. He flies to the ball, under control and wins every rep. He moves around with urgency and wants to make a play with every opportunity. Jones was quick getting down hill and showed some great skill in coverage. It is a must to watch him on the field. He made the receivers WORK and made sure to get better throughout the day. Godfrey showed top-tier coverage skills and was a true competitor, earning the title as Top DB in the showcase.
