Three 2027 wide receivers eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards in 2025. Who will join them in 2026? Here are eight WRs we believe will reach the millennium mark next season:

Curtis Flakes, St. Pius X: If opposing defenses choose to double-team stud WR [player_tooltip player_id='1154956' first='Cayl' last='Cox-Liggins'] (recently re-offered by ENMU) on the other side, Flakes will benefit. His speed and elite athleticism – and the fact he'll have an elite QB throwing him the ball – should produce a huge season for Flakes in 2026. Flakes is a fantastic WR but he's just as good at DB, arguably his best position at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2103749' first='Izaic' last='Gonzales'], Roswell: Fantastic junior season for the Coyotes, finishing with 41 receptions for 605 yards and 2 TD. One-half of a potentially potent RB-WR duo along with 1,000-yard rusher [player_tooltip player_id='1826036' first='Luis' last='Rodriguez']. If opposing defenses stack the box to contain the speedy Rodriguez, that should open up space for Gonzales down the field. Coyotes could have a 1,000-yard rusher and 1,000-yard receiver in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1155116' first='Jahari' last='Morehead'], Eldorado: Possessing explosive speed, Morehead is definitely one of the most dynamic players in the state both as a receiver and a kick returner. Caught 67 passes for 866 yards in 2025. If the Eldorado coaches can find ways to get Morehead the ball in space, he'll have a huge senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1679776' first='Andrew' last='Sandoval'], Centennial: Sandoval emerged as one of the top receivers in southern New Mexico in 2025. Finished with 58 receptions for 889 yards and 7 TD, so he came close to 1,000 yards. With his QB returning as well (watch out for that Centennial offense!), Sandoval could get there in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1155114' first='Deon' last='Session'], Atrisco Heritage: Session has grown to be 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, making him a legitimate D1 or D2 prospect. He has amassed over 600 yards receiving the past two years in a balanced passing attack. But since Atrisco heritage has struggled to reach the postseason, they don't get a lot of attention. If the Jaguars feature him, he has the size and skill to get to 1,000 yards.

[player_tooltip player_id='1651252' first='Ajay' last='Vigil'], Cleveland: Vigil, an exceptional athlete, will elevate to Cleveland's No. 2 WR behind rising junior [player_tooltip player_id='1613490' first='Evan' last='Nanez'], who had nearly 1,000 receiving yards in 2025. Could Cleveland have two 1,000-yard receivers in 2026? Yes. But the Storm will have a new QB. But as we have seen, Cleveland always reloads, so the new QB should be ready to perform at a high level. Vigil has 50-catch potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1680055' first='Zeke' last='Weir'], Organ Mountain: Weir could be the most underrated player in southern New Mexico, if not the entire state. Blessed with exceptional athleticism and speed, Weir excels at rising up and catching the football over defenders. He had 38 receptions in 2025, his first year of varsity football. But he's got 50-to-60 catch potential. One of the top priorities for the new Organ Mountain coach should be to find ways to feature Weir. The starting QB returns, so that helps.

[player_tooltip player_id='1605990' first='Darrien' last='Williams'], Hope Christian: Williams is a dynamic receiver for the Huskies, though he's often overlooked because Hope Christian is a Class 3A school situated in a city filled with 6A and 5A schools. First Team All-State and All-District WR. Good speed and soft hands. Hope Christian will also be in a new district in 2026 that features mostly southern schools. Another receiver with 50-to-60 catch potential.
