Inside Warren Central: Bright 2029 Prospects With Big Upside

Whitaker, in just his first season with the program, captured a regional championship with a 24-21 victory over Center Grove last season before falling one-game short of Lucas Oil thanks to a loss to eventual state champion Brownsburg. The good news is that Warren will return a bevy of playmakers on both sides of the ball. We paid a visit last week to the school on Indianapolis' east side. Coach Whitaker is fired up about his potential. Walker has great first-step quickness, plays at a low pad level and wraps up ballcarriers well against the run. He flashes being a great pass rusher with good edge speed. Day has a 6-foot-3, 260-pound frame with room to grow and add bulk over the next three years. If that develops as planned, watch out for him to be a top recruit. The 6-foot-0, 250-pound guard flashes a mean streak: he can mirror rushers, has violent hands and great hand placement/timing in pass protection. Maddox is on the short side, but he still plays with good bend, leverage and pad level. How much he grows will determine his college position; still has plenty of time.
