He is a downhill thumper that bangs in-between the tackles, tackles well behind the line and can quickly scrape over the top and make tackles in the short area or get outside the tackles with true sideline to sideline speed. Metz also shows quick redirect abilities, can provide pressure up the middle with good timing and a few rush moves in his toolbox and is a high motor kid that is seemingly always around the ball and plays with a high IQ and disciplined eyes as well. Overall he moves very well for his size, shows good bend, sudden twitch and open field speed/change of direction behind the line and is a powerful striker that can shoot his hands quickly to reset the line, eat up double teams and plays with a low hat to get underneath blockers. Offensively he is a true interior road grader that gets immediate vertical push and can get to the second level and get out to block in space while finishing blocks downfield. He is a true change of pace guy and a powerful runner that should be fielding more offers this spring.
