Off-season training and weight-room activities are ongoing. Spring football and college camps are approaching. This report evaluates their 2025 season and current off-season development, and highlights ten quarterbacks from the class of 2027 to watch this spring.

[player_tooltip player_id='1189935' first='Reece' last='Simpson'] is a prospect to watch this spring. His recruitment is off to a hot start in 2026, receiving offers from Georgia State and Mississippi State. Simpson is a solid decision-maker post-snap, attacking the whole field with confidence. He possesses solid arm strength and works through the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield.

https://twitter.com/Reece_Simpson18/status/2018520729138888752?s=20

[player_tooltip player_id='1227660' first='Cain' last='Price'] had a strong season in 2025 and currently holds one offer from Central Arkansas. He's competitive and diverts the ball well to his teammates. Price displays solid ball placement at all field levels with the ability to create with his legs post-snap. Keep an eye on him.

https://twitter.com/CainPrice10/status/2006904586548781478?s=20

[player_tooltip player_id='1537369' first='Gage' last='Hood'] continues to get better each season. He displays solid ball placement at all field levels. Hood's awareness and pocket mobility allow him to evade pressure, making him effective in every phase of the game. I expect him to take another leap in 2026.

https://twitter.com/GageHood2027/status/1963414517242642700?s=20

[player_tooltip player_id='1683287' first='Trey' last='Allen'] is a quarterback that I expect to garner more attention in the fall. Allen's mobility is consistently on display, both in and out of the pocket. He can evade post-snap pressure due to his good pocket mobility and awareness. Allen shows solid touch, allowing him to layer the ball over second-level defenders effectively.

https://twitter.com/TreyAllen2027/status/1994507121438695483?s=20

[player_tooltip player_id='1687191' first='Layton' last='Byler'] is a potential breakout candidate for 2026. He displays the ability to throw receivers open in the short-to-intermediate levels of the field with solid ball placement. He also has experience as a wide receiver.

https://twitter.com/laytonbyler/status/2012034604488913320?s=20

MORE TO WATCH

[player_tooltip player_id='594778' first='Slade' last='Norwood'] (Farmington)

[player_tooltip player_id='227898' first='Jackson' last='Denton'] (Warren)

[player_tooltip player_id='1549140' first='Brice' last='Owens'] (Har-Ber)

[player_tooltip player_id='1189932' first='Kyler' last='Shelby'] (Bryant)

[player_tooltip player_id='1329047' first='Cruz' last='Coatney'] (Greenwood)
