His throws almost always hit receivers in stride or intentionally place the ball where only his receiver could make a play. His release is incredibly fast as the ball zips out of his hand. What also stood out in his play is his ability to manipulate the defense with his eyes, looking off defenders before delivering a strike to a receiver on the opposite side.

The freshman from Parkview was impressive, throwing with incredible anticipation and velocity. His release looks effortless, but the spiral is so tight and fast that the ball cuts through the air. Because of this, he can rip the deep outs and comebacks without the corners having enough time to break on the ball. Cave anticipates the receiver's landmark and defenders' leverage, throwing into windows as the receiver is in their break.

Barnett has phenomenal arm strength, consistently pushing the ball downfield with accuracy throughout the tournament. He does not put the ball into harm's way or force it into coverage, as he will move down his progression to his short or intermediate throws if the initial shot is covered. Barnett exploits defenses by taking what they give him. If a receiver is uncovered, he knows to take the quick completion as fast as possible.

Newton is a great decision maker with exceptional accuracy. He showed that he can layer the football to all areas of the field, throwing deep routes on time and in stride, and also fitting the ball into many tight windows at the goal line.

The speed of Schmahl's decision-making stood out, as he was releasing the ball in the last step of his drop consistently. This led to many big plays down the field, hitting go routes, corners, and posts without the receiver having to stop or come back to the ball. He is proactive with his eyes, understanding where the offense has the advantage pre-snap, even looking off defenders opposite to come back to that same side. Schmahl also displayed great accuracy in the intermediate game, throwing curls and comebacks on time and in rhythm.
