Several active quarterbacks have joined the prestigious 1,000-1,000 club. With the offseason now in its third month, we take a look at five quarterbacks who could pass for 1,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in 2026:

[player_tooltip player_id='1680049' first='Jaden' last='Gonzales'], Organ Mountain: Emerging as one of the top dual threat quarterback in southern New Mexico, Gonzales passed for over 1,200 yards and rushed for nearly 650 yards for the Knights in 2025. However, Organ Mountain will have a new head coach in 2026 after Kenneth Sanchez resigned earlier this week. It will be interesting to see how Gonzales is utilized in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1155256' first='Nathan' last='Gonzales'], Robertson: The 6-foot-5 Gonzales is an outstanding two-sport athlete for the Cardinals (football and hoops). In his first season as Robertson's quarterback in 2025, he threw for 1,578 yards and rushed for 491. With a year of experience under his belt, look for Gonzales to boost his numbers in 2026. He should have a greater role in the ground game , which means more opportunities to carry the football.

C.J. Granados, Dexter: One of the most dynamic multi-sport athletes in the state. Last season he led Dexter to a second consecutive appearance in the Class 3A state championship game by passing for over 1,200 yards and rushing for over 630 yards. The Demons lose their leading rusher to graduation, so look for Granados to take on a larger role in the ground game in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='2101127' first='Marley' last='Munoz'], Carlsbad: Munoz came close to joining the 1,000-1,000 club in 2025 as he helped lead the Cavemen to the quarterfinals of the 6A playoffs. He passed for over 1,500 yards and 14 TD as a junior and rushed for 868 yards, falling just 132 yards short of joining the 1,000-1,000 yard club. He should get there in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1604705' first='Micah' last='Takahashi'], Rio Rancho: Takahashi threw for over 2,200 yards and 24 TD as a junior in 2025. He also rushed for nearly 700 yards, including a 95-yard gallop for a TD in a key district game late in the season. He possesses plenty of speed and elusiveness. He's difficult to catch from behind. If he stays healthy, he should reach 1,000 rushing yards in 2026.
