<p><strong>Per usual rankings are based on who projects highest at the collegiate level. You can be an outstanding HS athlete and not project to high level of collegiate ball. Have a look at the Washington Top 200 for 2028 as we talk on #51 on down. This list was put together in collaboration with Andrew Nemec.</strong></p>

<p><strong>*PLEASE NOTE: 50+ athletes were added to the 2028 rankings board so multiple individuals will drop numerous spots for that reason alone. </strong></p>

<p>Here we break down some of the ranked athletes outside of the top 50 starting with the line. #51 [player_tooltip player_id='1339354' first='Jonah' last='Kapesi'] of Rainier Beach returns as a 2x all Metro lineman, with his teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1615683' first='Anthony' last='Dunston JR'] being one of the top two-way threats in WA and earning 2nd team all-league honors at OL and honorable mention accolades at D Tackle. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Other lineman who have good size and earned all-conference honors include [player_tooltip player_id='2042097' first='Chex' last='DeFillipi'] of Skyline who was a 2nd team all Kingco selection, along with 6-3 270-pound O lineman [player_tooltip player_id='2112996' first='Lincoln' last='Barnes'] of Central Kitsap and 6-3 225 pound DE [player_tooltip player_id='2112963' first='Kannias' last='Alava'] of Enumclaw. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>6-3 320-pound Mata Iaone of Emerald Ridge is a beast on the interior and could climb this list quick. He was an honorable mention all-league selection. His new teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2082601' first='Riley' last='Crouch'] will be one to watch as well after making the move from Rogers HS. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>6-5 2A basketball standout [player_tooltip player_id='2113004' first='Cody' last='Schwarz'] of WF West also had an outstanding sophomore season being named a 1st team all-conference tackle. Two other small school lineman to make note of include [player_tooltip player_id='1200859' first='Angelo' last='Williams'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1335638' first='Zephaniah' last='Vailahi-Sala'] of Life Christian. Each earned 2nd team all-league honors. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Closing out the big boys up front, [player_tooltip player_id='2113039' first='Gabriel' last='Magda'] had an all-conference season for an Evergreen program out of Vancouver who consistently churns out D1 talent. [player_tooltip player_id='985347' first='Alex' last='Prince'] of Kennedy Catholic is undersized for the position at 6-0 230 but was incredibly impressive garnering 2nd team all NPSL accolades on both sides of the football. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>At LB and in the secondary their are numerous athletes worthy of recognition. [player_tooltip player_id='985351' first='Carmelo' last='Madden'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1337973' first='Inoke' last='Crosby'] of Bellevue are both legit. Expect the Wolverines to be a title favorite over the next few seasons. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>6-2 200-pound LB/TE [player_tooltip player_id='1339345' first='Ben' last='Baker'] of Roosevelt had a quality all Metro season on both sides of the ball for a program that was in a tough situation. [player_tooltip player_id='1795369' first='Zarrick' last='Roberts'] of Yelm is another appealing recruit with size. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>At defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='2112471' first='Charlie' last='Torrone'] of Curtis HS is a name to remember after racking up all SPSL honors at Safety. [player_tooltip player_id='2112459' first='Luke' last='Parbon'] of Camas had a big year making 25 tackles with 2 INT's while being named 2nd team all GSHL. [player_tooltip player_id='1743630' first='Stockton' last='Parrish'] of Southridge HS put some of the best numbers in the NW among underclassmen finishing with 56 tackles, 3 INTs, and 2 TDs. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='2042054' first='Ari' last='Gibbons'] was one of the breakout sophomores in the KingCo. He was a 2nd team all-league pick at corner. Another Bellevue athlete you will hear about in the coming year is [player_tooltip player_id='1691690' first='Nick' last='Simms']. He has been doing well for FSP on the 7v7 circuit. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>Turning to offense, we look at the QB spot where there are a handful of kids who could make a significant jump up the board in the coming months. [player_tooltip player_id='1139323' first='Oliver' last='Setterberg'] of Glacier Peak is underrated and has been doing well on the 7v7 circuit. He passed for 1,962 yards and 29 TDs as a sophomore. Both [player_tooltip player_id='1339252' first='Colton' last='Stiles'] of Mount Si and [player_tooltip player_id='1339195' first='Oliver' last='Stiles'] of Eastlake will lead good programs and likely make some noise this off season. Colton started as a sophomore and did well before getting hurt for a Wildcats team that was a deceptive (3-7). </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>[player_tooltip player_id='984864' first='Jordan' last='Meas'] of Eastside Catholic has done well coming up through the youth ranks with [player_tooltip player_id='1615861' first='Sawyer' last='Hayes'] of Gig Harbor throwing 15 TD's/7 INTs as a freshman at the Varsity level. He is a talented 3-sport athlete. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->

[player_tooltip player_id='2112968' first='Luke' last='Shaw'] was a 1st team all-conference WR as a sophomore at Bellarmine with [player_tooltip player_id='1570251' first='Draven' last='Butler'] of Mount Spokane continuing to be a kid we should watch. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>One of Washington's breakout performers was unquestionably [player_tooltip player_id='2113038' first='DJ' last='Wilford'] of Mountain View out of Vancouver. His Thunder team didn't win a game, but he managed to put together a phenomenal season catching 78 balls for 742 yards and 6 TDs. His 6-3 Falcons teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1815805' first='Cruz' last='Asay'] is a good-looking WR and one to keep an eye on also. </p>
<!-- /wp:paragraph -->
<!-- wp:paragraph -->
<p>RB [player_tooltip player_id='2112464' first='Tyce' last='Kinley'] was a 1st team all SPSL-North pick as a sophomore which is a big deal. [player_tooltip player_id='2112995' first='Wilson' last='West'] of Gig Harbor HS was another breakout back earning 2nd team accolades.
