We revealed our updated 2028 rankings on Wednesday. Here are 5 of the Fastest Stock Risers:

[player_tooltip player_id='1613755' first='Cross' last='Figg'], Texico: Figg rocketed up the rankings after putting together one of the best seasons by a 2028 prospect last fall. Figg took over quarterback duties for the Wolverines when the starter suffered a serious injury in Week 1 and didn't return until the regular season finale. Figg flourished in his new role. He finished the season with 1,030 passing yards and a staggering 1,903 rushing yards, making him one of the newest members of the prestigious 1,000-1,000 club. He accounted for 38 TD. Figg helped lead Texico to a second consecutive state championship in November and the Wolverines will be one of the favorites again in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='1686972' first='Chris' last='Lopez'], La Cueva: One of the fastest player sin the 2028 class. He first showed off his impressive speed last summer during camping season, then again during the season. Most recently, he was the fastest player at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in Grants and was a Top Performer. In the 6A playoff quarterfinals against Centennial, Lopez had 8 receptions for 149 yards and 1 TD.

[player_tooltip player_id='1613490' first='Evan' last='Nanez'], Cleveland: Nanez didn't make a significant jump up the rankings, but he now occupies the No. 1 spot, and deservedly so. Nanez is arguably the most dynamic player in the state, regardless of classification. His speed, agility and athleticism are off the charts. How good is Nanez? Cleveland already had a FBS caliber WR on the field but Nanez still finished with 51 receptions for nearly 1,000 yards and a team-high 16 TD. He also returned two kickoffs and a punt for touchdowns. He's a threat to take it the distance every time he touched the football.

[player_tooltip player_id='1826036' first='Luis' last='Rodriguez'], Roswell: Roswell head coach Jeff Lynn boasted about Rodriguez last summer, predicting Rodriguez was a future star. He was right. Lunn smartly brought Rodriguez slowly, though. He started the season on the JV team before being called up to the varsity in September. Rodriguez isn't big, but he's extremely fast and elusive. When he's able to get to the perimeter and turn the corner, he's tough to tackle. His finished his sophomore season with 1,086 rushing yards on 112 carries, averaging close to 10 yards per carry. How many yards will he get in a full varsity season? He definitely has 1,500-yard potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1606533' first='Benny' last='Trujillo'], Espanola Valley: Excellent two-way player for the Sundevils this season. Caught 27 passes for 422 yards and 3 TD on offense while making 39 tackles with 2 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles on defense. Complete player. Per Benny's Twitter account, he's already diligently preparing for the 2026 season.
