When the 2025 season ended, and a majority of the seniors (Class of 2026) made their plans for the immediate future, the next wave of talent started to move into the spotlight.

The Class of 2027 (rising seniors) are now sitting in a position where colleges are now starting to get serious about recruiting and making early commitments.

This class is loaded with talent all over the state. While they sat in the background this past season, watching the senior class receive much of the attention, they are now attending camps, combines and 7-on-7 events as targets and will receive plenty of attention from college coaches, fan websites and recruiting services who want to know which colleges are leading for their services.

As some 2027 prospects have already made their intentions known, the transfer portal and NIL deals can alter plans – so that's why the next six months become vital in the recruiting process.

While we release student/athletes every day on Prep Redzone Florida – with pertinent information that college coached want to know and fans have a thirst for – we are fortunate to have watched many of the since they entered high school. Many even before that.

Today, we bring you some more gifted 2027 players to keep an eye on this off-season, into spring and summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2091687' first='Tarri' last='Cochran'], DB, 6'0, 165, Pembroke Pines Flanagan – 4.0 GPA. As the off-season is under way, here is one of the prospects that will be coming back that will give the Falcons a boost – on the football field and in the classroom. Keep your eye on his progress.

[player_tooltip player_id='1673025' first='K.J.' last='Davis'], WR, 6'3, 180, Fort Pierce John Carroll. When the 2025 season came to an end, this was one of the players who everyone was talking about. One of the top prospects in the Prep Redzone Class of 2027 rankings. Will be an impact performer for the Rams in the off-season and into the 2026 season.

Jordan Diaz, DL/LB, 5'9, 190, Miami Immaculata LaSalle. With 47 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, here is one of the players that helped the Royal Lions win a district and make a solid push in the state playoffs. Will be one of the catalysts in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='2085911' first='Trevion' last='Dixon'], WR, 6'4, 175, Bradenton Braden River – 3.3 GPA. When you have the top receiver coming back for a final year, you have already established that you have a producer and a leader. The Pirates will definitely use this young man to build on the 2025 season. Keep an eye on his progress during the off-season as college coaches will continue to watch.

Jaxson Edds, OG/DT, 6'0, 270, Clearwater Central Catholic. While the Marauders fell short of their goals this past season, having a two-way standout like this coming back for another year will be huge on many levels. Not only from an experience standpoint, but also leadership will be very important as several younger players make their way into the mix.

Leonidas Govedaris, LB, 6'1, 200, Bonita Springs – 3.71 GPA. Name a defensive category and this quality talent was either at the top or near the top for the Bull Sharks this past season. Easily one of the more under-the-radar prospects in southwest Florida as he finished the year with a district-leading 70 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, numerous QB Pressures and a pick six. This is one of the players that you will need to keep an eye on this off-season.

Jayshawn McCloud, Athlete, 6'3, 250, Green Cove Springs Clay. Take a look at any of categories on defense and this quality talent was right there at the top. Tackles, sacks, interceptions, caused fumbles, fumble recoveries and Quarterback Hurries. Getting a gifted prospect like this back will go a long way in helping the Blue Devils improve.

[player_tooltip player_id='1773843' first='Reese' last='Nunez'], LB/Nickle, 6'1, 210, Lakeland Victory Christian – 3.6 GPA. When the storm needed a big play on the defensive side of the ball, here is one of the prospects that stepped up. He was one of those versatile football players who comes back with experience and leadership, which will be huge in getting back to the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1684034' first='Bryan' last='Pierre'], DE, 6'3, 225, Coral Springs Coral Glades. When you look at the season this impressive talent had for the Jaguars this past season, you know why college coaches all over the country are bowled over by what this talented prospect brings to the table. Led the way with eight sacks, forced fumbles, tackles, Quarterback Hurries and fumble recoveries. Will be one of the top players coming back next season.

Ryan Wanner, TE, 6'5, 250, Sarasota Cardinal Mooney – 3.8 GPA. With all that talent that this program had this past season, many believe that this was prospect that was hidden. While he wasn't called upon to be a receiving tight end, he did his part as a blocker, and that's why many analysts and coaches believe as he grows and matures, the offensive line may be the spot he ends up at the next level. He is quick, has great size and will open holes, and that's why with the explosive offense the Cougars run, his future could very well be a tackle. Time will tell, but he is one of those gifted prospects who will do what is needed to win.
