Repeat For The Jacksonville Raines Vikings?

In the hours following their stunning 23-22 state championship win over Miami Northwestern to capture the 3A state title, head coach Donovan Masline and his staff quickly looked to 2026.   While the Vikings finished the year perfect at 14-0, the win over the nationally rated Bulls validated a season where this program avenged the 2024 setback to Northwestern and showed just why the 680 points they scored, and five shutouts only proved that this was a team that was loaded with elite prospects and plenty of that depth.   While they will lose several key prospects from this team that brought home a state title to Duval County, Masline has built his alma mater into a power and not just team that will win for a few years and disappear.   As they hit the off-season, they know that they will be the team that will have to defend its title, and every opponent that they will line up against will get up for that game.   As they will lose some quality prospects, the Vikings will return plenty of talent – and of course – pick up some transfers along the way like the great teams do each year.   This will be a rising senior class (2027) that will have some spots to fill, but also will have the players to compete   Among those prospects to keep an eye on will be Roderick Adams Jr. (OL – 3.5 GPA), Curtis Asbery (RB), Jedon Austin (WR), Antwuan Brackett (OL – 3.0 GPA), Keelan Burke (DT), Troy Butler (DE/Athlete - 3.1 GPA), Jabari Denefield (DB), Travis Dixon Jr. (DB), Chenaniah Doran (DE) and impressive kicker Dan Duong (PK – 3.4 GPA).
