New Prospects on Radar Poised for Recruiting Breakouts

As early offseason scouting across the state for future classes begins to take place, there have been strong returns early that have placed new prospects on my persona radar and they have the Division One skillsets necessary to see their recruitments blossom in the next several months.   These four prospects in today's article have strong combinations of size, athleticism and ability giving each player exciting upside for the next level despite still remaining under the radar when it comes to their recruitment.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Lebanon 2027 Receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1938324' first='Gavin' last='Gregory']</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1938324' first='Gavin' last='Gregory'] is a two-way standout for his high school, but his potential is best suited at the receiver position with his good size, natural movement ability and three-level winning ability.   He has a strong build within a 6-foot-1 frame, giving him the ability to be moved around the formation, making plays as both an inside and outside receiver.   Lebanon manufactures some easy touches for him in the screen game and his playmaking ability makes the coaching staff look very smart and he can rack up yards after the catch and create explosive plays and scores.   He has the ability to win at all three levels of the field with his YAC ability, long speed, and strong hands which gives him a very high floor for the next level.    <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Riverdale 2027 Receiver [player_tooltip player_id='2101290' first='Gavin' last='Johnson']</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='2101290' first='Gavin' last='Johnson'] is an intriguing new-age slot receiver prospect for the next level with his good frame, natural movement ability and YAC ability.   He is slender as he stands around 160-170 pounds, but he has a strong six-foot frame that he can add a lot of weight upon with a strength staff at the next level and that will only boost his already excellent ability to get yards after contact.   He is highly effective at the second level and kniving through the intermediate of the defense, and following the catch, he immediately puts his head down and can run like a tailback to find the open crease to create extra yardage.   He also played defensive back and showed physicality as a tackler, which could show his potential as a blocker.   He transferred to a Riverdale team with a high-flying passing attack and he could really thrive during his senior season if he commits to taking that next jump forward.    <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Germantown 2027 Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='906615' first='Shelvy' last='Clark']</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='906615' first='Shelvy' last='Clark'] is a downhill linebacker prospect with a good, strong frame and the athleticism to make plays all over the second level of the defense.   He will play for Germantown next season and immediately gives them a leader of the defense to build around as a reliable anchor of a middle linebacker.   He thrives at putting his foot in the ground and working downhill to track down ball carriers and his strong frame allows for him to be a sure tackler.   He has the athleticism to make some plays in coverage and be trusted to make tackles in space, giving him a high floor as a prospect as he continues to fill out his frame.   It is easy to see why the offers are starting to come in for the west Tennessee standout prospect.    <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Henry County 2028 Athlete [player_tooltip player_id='2112205' first='Ja'Kye' last='Beard']</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='2112205' first='Ja'Kye' last='Beard'] is an intriguing safety prospect on the rise that was a strong playmaker for Henry County in all three facets of the game.   He has elite length and a strong frame already at 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, that allows for him to be both disruptive in coverage as well as a physical and assertive tackle.   He has good long speed and could really break out with his recruitment as he takes another step forward during his junior season, improving his explosiveness and having another productive year.   With another year of him showing his burst, ball skills and coverage ability and he could see his recruitment truly breakout a month into his junior season this year.
