MN 9-Man QBs to Watch in 2026

Returning to Minnesota, we take a look at the new batch of signal-callers across the state to watch out for heading into next season, ranging from returning starters to potential breakout names. We start today with the 9-man league, revealing 6 QBs that should continue to thrive within the condensed conference.    Even though LeRoy-Ostrander didn't exactly play up to standard compared to previous seasons, there's no doubt that [player_tooltip player_id='1290743' first='Reid' last='Hungerholt'], who succeeded his brother Cam as the starter in 2025 is already doing a great job filling in the huge shoes left behind. Hungerholt finished with 1857 passing yards, 23 TDs, and 11 INTs while rushing for 1187 yards (5.9 YPC) and 9 TDs. Much like his older brother, Reid is elusive and dangerous as a dual-threat with plenty of speed and athleticism, and he's shown excellent arm strength and ball placement even out of the pocket. Hungerholt will need to work on his consistency as a passer, but with proper development, there's no telling how high his ceiling will be in 2026.     In a conference where dynamic athleticism is prevalent among many of the top athletes, Drew Kemp has shown plenty of upside to be one of the best pure pocket passers in the 9-man league. Kemp completed 74.5% of his passes for 1456 yards, 12 TDs, and 4 INTs while rushing for 160 yards and 5 TDs on the ground. Kemp is not afraid to sling it down the field, and there were numerous clips in his highlight reel showing his ability to hit his receivers vertically down the sideline with perfect touch and placement to find his guys in stride. Kemp should quickly find himself as a stud under center who's skills should continue to grow exponentially over the next 2 years.     The QB/DE standout certainly had a lot of hit-or-miss moments under center, but there is no denying Dulitz's ability to create huge plays over the air with his arm. Dulitz finished 3rd in the conference with 1646 passing yards, scoring 19 TDs to 14 INTs, and rushing for an additional 386 yards and 7 TDs. His size and toughness are the biggest differences for Dulitz that helps him stand out among the 9-man conference, showing a more physical level of play than his peers, and he's not afraid to embrace that, whether by taking a hit while making his throw, or by lowering the shoulder on the run. At his best, Dulitz is a great pocket passer with excellent arm strength and mobility, and with some work to improve upon that consistency, Dulitz could easily be one of the most dangerous QBs to watch in this conference next year.     One of the players on our emergent series list prior to the 2025 season, many of the qualities that were included translated well as Hampton Hebrink made a solid transition into the varsity starting lineup in 2025. Hebrink threw for 746 yards, 8 TDs, and 2 INTs while rushing for 276 yards and 4 TDs. Hebrink continued to find a steady groove with the Jaguars' option offense, making himself a solid companion in the run game to their explosive starter Jacob Savig while excelling in short-passing and goal-line situations. Hebrink is a good fit for the Jaguars' system, and as he continues to get comfortable, Hebrink could get more opportunities to flash his range slinging the ball.     Charger Erlandson's passing reps were periodic, as he only threw 24 times all of last season, but he flashed quite a lot of potential with a limited statline, completing 13 passes for 477 yards, 7 TDs, and 1 INT. Erlandson proved to sling quite a good ball down the field, showing nice touch and placement on his vertical passes as well as solid accuracy on the run. While the Dragons prefer to run the ball, Erlandson could be primed to receive plenty of more opportunities to throw it with how well he did on limited passing reps last season.     Sam Swensen is primed to take over as the starting QB for the Comets with Ethan Swedberg graduating this year. Swensen will have huge shoes to fill, though he flashed potential in his limited reps, finishing 8 of 11 for 111 yards, 3 TDs, and 2 INTs while adding a rushing TD. While there isn't much information on Swensen and his current measurables, Swensen will certainly continue to generate attention over this offseason as the frontrunner for the open starting QB job for the 9-man league runner-ups from 2025.
