<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After much anticipation, tedious note taking, scrupulous attention to detail on a spreadsheet with massive amount of datasets on it, and hours of film watched, the time has come to release Prep Redzone's final player rankings for the class of 2026. The rankings release is&nbsp;<em>tentatively&nbsp;</em>scheduled for this coming Monday; however, here are a few quick footnotes to consider:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>With 830+ players ranked, the industry rumor is that this is the largest rankings update for the state of New Jersey, on record, throughout any media outlet.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Prep Redzone continues to be the industry's leader in terms of state-by-state depth when it comes to player rankings. slow release; mechanics are strong, throws off of front foot; looks at one receiver, doe snot take defenders off; one read if not thrown he runs it and looks to scramble; ball placement is good, although receivers not always in the best positon for YAC; knows hwere he wants to go with the ball, not all that much zip on his throws;</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1676453' first='Jacob' last='Hill'] 6'3" 200 DL Dickinson</td><td>End, works hands up, can work a move off of available leverage; get off is solid; quick enough, albeit at a poor level of play, to go inside-out; must squeeze/not go up field as much; slows down to tackle, does not break down; sees reach, works to get to his gag, not violently; speed of play will require him time to play at collegiate level; gets hips around at moments when pass rushing; needs to wmrk moves more consistently</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1800726' first='Jacob' last='Ward'] 6'1" 215 DL Linden</td><td>Gets upfield just a bit too much when unblocked; needs to squeeze flatter dwon the line; plays a 4i; rushes a full man, comes off too high to generate any power rush; tries to make palys underneath too often</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1855590' first='Jaden' last='Harvey'] 6'1" 190 WR/DB Oakcrest</td><td>Can win jump balls between triple coverage that his Qb should proably not have thrown; tracks over the shoulder throws well; threatens with speed, can get worried defenders to bite on his fakes; routes are not sharp, they are rounded; uses hands to catch the ball; speed is hard to judge</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1881704' first='Jailen' last='Sharpe'] WR Belleville</td><td>Can take advantage of mismatches due to relative athleticism; tackles and shoots the alley - a bit slow, and tackles high; runs upright, does not accelerate all that well; wing back; long, ball frame</td></tr><tr><td>Jake Dillon 6'3" 155 K Haddon Heights</td><td>kickoff gets about a yard into the endzone to about 3 yards out; middle make with ball on the 20; left hash make with ball on the 12, right hash make same distance</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2004648' first='Jake' last='Groeber'] 5'10" 175 DL Holy Spirit</td><td>Standup edge; can gain the corner on slower opponents, does not run teh hoop nor get his hips around; want to see him finish rips; finishes tackle wiht downward tomahawk; attacks ball when close to quarterback; does not coget hands on opponent consistently; avoids pullers, tries to side step/dip them; poor tech for spillers, will avoid or ram into them low; solid tackler, wraps well, want to see him keep feet driving more</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2004607' first='Jake' last='Rattiner'] RB Freehold Township</td><td>Tracks ball over shoulder well, uses hand to catch; first two clips are pass catches out of the backfield;has vision, trusts his ability to run horizontally to create space and then get upfield; not a burner; runs upright and rocks the ball rather than pinning it; safety, early to pass and late to run; uses body to break uppasses; reads BQs eyes; solid player, not a RB, but might help a college somewhere, depending on his size</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1894623' first='James' last='Mongno'] 5'11" 185 WR Hunterdon Central</td><td>Route fakes are in the path, not with shoulder or body, uses hands to make catches; can work through and against leverage of defenders to gain positioning; slow in and out of breaks on route; very much a what you see is what you get type of player; can win a jump ball, questionable if consistently;</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='2102650' first='James' last='Murphy'] 6'0" 180 WR/ATH Holmdel</td><td>Wins tip drill falling down; big, strong body; defenders fall off of him and he is strong enough to keep going; will set picks in middle of field to spring teammates open; tracks ball over shoulder nicely; question his outright footspeed; not the quickest mover or fastest</td></tr></tbody></table></figure> <!-- /wp:table --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Final 2026 Player Rankings Release</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/updated-2026-new-jersey-rankings-3">Official Final 2026 Player Rankings Release</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-i/">Film Evaluation Notes, Part I</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-ii">Film Evaluation Notes, Part II</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-iii">Film Evaluation Notes, Part III</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-iv">Film Evaluation Notes, Part IV</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-v">Film Evaluation Notes, Part V</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-vi">Film Evaluation Notes, Part VI</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-vii">Film Evaluation Notes, Part VII</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-viii">Film Evaluation Notes, Part VIII</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-ix">Film Evaluation Notes, Part IX</a><br><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2026/01/final-2026-player-rankings-film-evaluation-notes-part-x">Film Evaluation Notes, Part X</a></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
