DL Report: 2029 Catholic League EDGE Rushers You Should Fear

The 2029 Rankings are upon us, and with the next wave of prospects starting to shine across the state, we start our first look at the next EDGE Rushers, from across New York. While it is too early to evaluate a majority of prospects, we will take a Quick Look, and list some Pro's, and some areas the prospects should look to work on as they progress through the High School Level. In this article, we will look at three 2029 Catholic League EDGE Rushers, from across the state of New York, who you should fear. Tallman, stands at 6'2" 200-Pounds, displaying a decent build for an EDGE Rusher. I want to see him gain at least 15-30 pounds of good weight to fill out his frame as he moves throughout High School.   Tallman, was part of a dominant JV squad for Iona Prep in his Freshman Season, and ranks as my second best EDGE Rusher in the 2029 class. He is quick off the line, and can beat most Tackles to their spit, allowing him to have his way with power moves. I like his strength, and he displays good physicality, along with a high motor.   Tallman is a EDGE Rusher Coach Spagnolo will love as he progresses through High School, and with the rise of Joshua Simmons this past season, Tallman can be the next big time prospect for the Gaels.      Bucknor is my top ranked EDGE Rusher in the 2029 class, and for good reason. The 6'3" 230-Pound Prospect, displays a good frame for a EDGE Rusher, and can also swing inside with some weight gaining.   Bucknor was another star rusher on a stacked JV squad for Coach Spagnolo. Opposite of his teammate Tallman, he displayed a high motor, and exceptional speed off the line through rushes. He has good strength of the line, and his hands, allow him to spend most his time in the backfield.   He was an excellent run stuffer, and was dominant when given time to rush the QB. Coach Spagnolo, has an excellent squad in 2029, and Bucknor is a big piece of that.      Last up is [player_tooltip player_id='2103502' first='Adrian' last='Torres']. The Mt. St. Michael prospect, stands at 6'0" 200-Pounds, displaying a solid build for an EDGE Rusher. As he progresses through High School, I want to see him add some good weight to compete against bigger Tackles.   Film was limited on Torres's, but he showcased, his tackling ability, which I liked, as he wraps up backs in running reps. In passing reps, I like his use of leverage, and strength to get around slower Tackles.   Torres is a rising underrated star in the Catholic League, who with consistency and continued work, can easily be one of the top players in the toughest league in NY.
