Diamonds in the Rough: 2027 Prospects Needing More Eyes

Ortiz measures in at 5'10 198-pounds in his 2nd year starting for Denver West. He went 73/146 for 1238 yards, 50% completion rate, 19 TDs, 9 INT, 46 carries for 293 yards and 4 touchdowns. Ortiz has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, balance, good speed, and change of direction. He has good throw power with a good release. Good progression speed, going through his reads and finding the open man. Very good touch on his throws. Ortiz has very good ball placement skills. He'll stay poised under pressure using his very good scramble ability to get out of trouble. I'm interested to see how Ortiz continues his development.     Aukland is a versatile defensive prospect. This LB/SS will range from lining up on the edge, in the box, or as a deep safety. Measures in at 5'11 155-pounds. He accounted for 76 total tackles (32 solo, 44 assisted), 8.5, 3.5 sacks, 3 QB pressures, 2 INT, and 3 PD. Aukland has very good athletic ability due to elite acceleration, very good speed, change of direction, and jumping. Very good read and reaction speed. He's a hard hitter, consistently forcing incompletions. Very good range. He'll run across the field to make the tackle. Very good strength with very good tackling. Good get off and block shedding. When he's lined up on the edge, he shows off his very good bend. Very good zone coverage. Very good closing quickness. Aukland is a dawg.     Sanders measures in at 6'3 220-pounds and had a nice season for Valor. The defensive end had 40 total tackles (13 solo, 27 assisted), 9 TFL, 4.5 sacks, 7 QB pressures, 1 PD, 1 FF, and 1 FR. Sanders has good athletic ability due to good acceleration, lateral quickness, speed, and change of direction. Sanders has good initial quickness out of his stance. Using his very good hand speed to engage the OL. Good hand strength and hand placement to rip through. He uses his very good get off speed and good block shedding to get into the backfield. Sanders has good tackling as well. I'm excited to see how Sanders does next season !     Pron measures in at 5'11 190-pounds, and has been a rising running back for Regis. This past season, he accounted for 121 carries for 718 yards with 7 touchdowns, and 16 receptions for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensively, he had 30 total tackles (11 solo, 19 assisted), 1 sack, and 2 PD. Pron has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, change of direction, and good balance. He has very good vision. Uses his jump cuts to pick, slide, and accelerate into the open hole. Very good inside and outside running. He'll turn the perimeter and be gone. He also excels at catching from the backfield. Very good catching and ball tracking skills. He's a great offensive threat.     Blomquist measures in at 5'8 170-pounds playing RB for Ralston Valley. This past season he had 102 carries for 569 yards for 8 touchdowns with 4 receptions for 27 yards. Blomquist has good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, change of direction, good speed, and balance. He has an explosive quick burst at the line of scrimmage. Very good vision to select the open gap. Good inside and outside running. Blomquist is more of a weaver than a power back, but don't be shocked if he uses his stiff arm to gain more yards. He's good in pass protection as well. Another running back, I'm looking forward to seeing more of next season.
