High school football players from every corner of Louisiana — and even dipping into Mississippi and Alabama — visited Baton Rouge on Saturday to participate in the Prep Redzone Louisiana Stock Up Showcase.

The network's second-annual Louisiana-based event, held at the new Elite Training Academy near LSU, featured standout performances from every position group and every high school class.

Here's a look at a few of the top eye-catchers among the defensive backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1375166' first='Jaylen' last='Knox'] — DB — Woodlawn (Baton Rouge) (2027)

The local product from just across town at Woodlawn (Baton Rouge) was the clear top performer among the defensive backs with both his consistency blanketing receivers and allowing few successful completions and his highlight plays on at least one leaping interception and downfield and a few well-timed deflections. Knox's 8-foot-10-inch broad jump was the highlight of his athletic testing, but his competitive reps far exceeded any of his numbers from the combine portion in the morning.

[player_tooltip player_id='1611413' first='Letravious' last='Williams'] — 5-9, 170 DB — Alexandria (2027)

The rising senior, who was among the top players on a stout Trojans defense and top safeties in a loaded District 2-5A overall this fall, was among the standouts of the defensive back group with a 7.10-second three-cone, 4.29-second shuttle, 8-foot-9-inch broad jump and several good reps during one-on-ones. Williams blanketed opposing receivers on many of his reps getting his hands on them from the release or smoothly mirroring them like he was attached with a string. He made a few nicely timed reads to jump passes for deflections or a sideline interception. And when receivers managed to create some separation, Williams finished reps strong with a good recovery burst, including at least one late break-up of what appeared a likely completion before the late swipe.

Jaren Marshall Jr. — 5-6, 150 DB — St. Augustine (2028)

The Purple Knights' sophomore nickel was among the younger defensive backs who stood out and kept alive deep into the day's final one-on-ones as coaches trimmed down to best-of-the-best reps late. Marshall had one of the position group's top broad jumps at 8 feet, 11 inches, and that explosiveness showed in his strong breaks back to the ball on throws to receivers he kept underneath, including a final rep he shut down shy of the goal line. Marshall's 7.31-second three-cone and 4.38-second shuttle were also among the group's notable testing numbers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1642932' first='Kendall' last='Joseph Jr']. — 6-0, 145 DB — John Curtis (2029)

Most position groups seemed to have at least one current freshman stand out at the event, and Joseph is an intriguing corner to watch in the 2029 class as he continues to develop in the years to come. The Patriots' promising young athlete was already one of the tallest, longest and most fluid defensive backs at the event. His 9-foot-1-inch broad jumper was also among the best in the group.

[player_tooltip player_id='2056678' first='Raymond' last='Harris'] III — 5-10, 160 DB — Alexandria (2028)

The sophomore defensive back was among the notable emergences this fall for a veteran and talented Alexandria defense and had a solid showing at the Stock Up Showcase to help kick off his offseason. His 7.15-second three-cone, 4.63-second 40-yard dash and 8-foot-8-inch broad jump were all among the top few defensive backs at the event, and he showed quick feet and good, strong hands on clean catches throughout drills.

[player_tooltip player_id='2088691' first='Brennen' last='Tardy'] — 5-9, 160 DB — Bonnabel (2027)

The under-the-radar rising senior from the New Orleans area put together the best athletic testing profile among all the defensive backs in attendance with 4.50-second 40-yard dash, 4.38-second shuttle, 7.24-second three-cone and a 9-foot-2-inch broad jump. The 40-yard speed and broad jump both topped the position group, with the former just two hundredths of a second off the overall event lead, and both his shuttle and three-cone times were No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, among the DBs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2095176' first='Camden' last='Walker'] — 5-10, 150 DB — University Lab (2029)

Walker put together some solid testing numbers, particularly among the youngest athletes at the event, with his 8-foot-4-inch broad jump, 7.37-second three-cone and 4.44-second shuttle all besting most of the older defensive backs.
