The honor, which has played out all week, has given Smith, his Defensive Coordinator Darryl Porter and so many quality Class of 2026 and 2027 Florida prospects an opportunity to be a part of this impressive group of talent from all over the country.

The Florida players, who have worked this week for the game that will be played this Saturday in the Alamodome.

The game will be broadcast LIVE on NBC at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

“This is such a great honor to not only be around these impressive football players, but also the amazing high school coaches on the staff from around the country,” Smith explained. “To have Coach Porter and Amare (Nugent) here experiencing this is special as well.”

While juniors have been added to this post-season game over the past two years – like they have at the Under Armour event – many believe that it is indeed the wave of the future – with the Name Image & Likeness (NIL) taking over amateur sports and having more demands on the athletes.

Having the young players compete also gives those impressive rising seniors (2027 class) the opportunity to jump in the spotlight as well.

IMPRESSIVE 2026 PROSPECTS READY FOR COLLEGE

As soon as this game is over, many of the seniors who competed this week, will begin their collegiate careers.

Among those 2026 prospects from the East includes [player_tooltip player_id='1266690' first='Trenton' last='Henderson'] (DL, Pensacola Pine Forest - LSU), [player_tooltip player_id='1249104' first='Devin' last='Jackson'] (S, Olando The First Academy - OREGON) and [player_tooltip player_id='1628889' first='Danny' last='Odem'] (DB, Orlando The First Academy - NEBRASKA).

West team member [player_tooltip player_id='859613' first='Asharri' last='Charles'], a defensive lineman from Venice, will be headed to attend the University of Miami.

THOSE TALENTED UNDERCLASSMEN ARE TURNING HEADS

While the seniors have been in the spotlight for the past few years, it is time for the Class of 2027 to showcase their many talents as recruiting analysts are seeing these gifted young men perform live for the first time.

The state of Florida always has an impressive flow of talent in every class – and with this group having the chance to compete against some of the best in high school football, the talent level has been elevated in a major way.

Among those underclassmen (2027) getting the chance to shine includes recent Miami Northwestern transfer Nicholas Lennear (WR, Miami Carol City), who is arguably the best in the country for the next class. Lennear has been elite since playing his first game at the varsity level.

Also, Plantation American Heritage way under-the-radar defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1671169' first='Amare' last='Nugent'], [player_tooltip player_id='1671149' first='Reed' last='Ramsier'] (OL, Orlando The First Academy), [player_tooltip player_id='665989' first='Sean' last='Tatum'] (OL, Fort Pierce John Carroll), Boston College early commit [player_tooltip player_id='1909436' first='Wesley' last='Winn'] (WR, Boca Raton St. Andrew's Academy), and [player_tooltip player_id='1671176' first='Charles' last='Woodson Jr.'] (DB, Orlando Lake Nona), a name that so many are familiar with.
